General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Julian (William deVry) is headed off canvas soon. A deal couldn’t be reached and deVry is moving on for now. However, he’s speaking out to let viewers know that he truly wanted to make this work. DeVry feels your pain!
In an interview with Michael Fairman, deVry went over the details of the failed negotiations. He suggested that he wanted to get this wrapped up as quickly as possible, but the they just couldn’t nail anything down. DeVry noted that he’d love to be back at GH one day, but he’s exploring other opportunities in the meantime.
“I am auditioning for other shows right now, and have a couple of things that I am close to getting. I feel bad for the fans, really,” deVry said. Although General Hospital watchers will miss Julian, we all wish him the best of luck in his career. After all, most of us want a chance to see deVry on our screens again. It may not be in Port Charles, but we’ll take what we can get.
Since deVry is used to the soap grind and has been checking out other possibilities, could he pop up on one of the other daytime dramas? Days of Our Lives might be a good place to land. DOOL’s new head writer, Ron Carlivati, is doing everything he can to breathe life into the NBC soap. Announcing William deVry as a cast member would definitely help his efforts.
Tyler Christopher (ex-Nikolas) is already taping at Days of Our Lives, so Carlivati might lure DeVry over there, too. He surely recognizes this soap star’s strong appeal. Since deVry has such sizzling chemistry with Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), he could probably spark some steaminess with someone on Days as well.
Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Kristian Alfonso (DOOL’s Hope) may need a new love interest down the road. Most buzz suggests that the execs aren’t pleased with her current pairing, but they can’t find anything else to do with her. William deVry would certainly be new leading man material if he came on board. His powerful charisma might steal the show.
Still, perhaps GH viewers shouldn’t give up all hope. General Hospital spoilers state that Julian’s exit will be open-ended. It could basically allow for his return at any time.
