General Hospital actress and legend Carolyn Hennesy has been chosen by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) to host two 44th Daytime Emmy red carpet shows. The 44th Daytime Emmy Awards will be streamed live online on Facebook for all fans who want to tune into the excitement, and the addition of Carolyn Hennesy to the schedule will only add to that excitement.
Both the red carpet shows and the actual show will be streamed live via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DaytimeEmmyAwards) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/DaytimeEmmys). Fans can also watch Carolyn Hennesy host Facebook Live events for the nominees on April 28 and April 30 – between 5:30 PM and 7:30 PM EDT, from the NATAS Gifting Suites.
Carolyn Hennesy gave a statement, saying, “I am absolutely thrilled and so honored to be tapped to host FB Live’s red carpet coverage for Daytime Emmy weekend. The glitz, the gowns, the stress, the nerves, the gossip…’She said WHAT?’ I’ll bring you just as much as they’ll let me…and then some!”
The actual shows that Carolyn will host are the 44th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards red carpet event that will takes place on Friday, April 28th, and then the Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet on Sunday April 30th (the fancy razzle dazzle of the fashion) – both from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM EST.
The Daytime Emmy Awards have gained steam in the past few years, as soaps start to gain more recognition for their fan base and the ratings that they draw consistently. As such, the annual awards show has gotten bigger and bigger, rivaling even some of their more traditional counterparts in awards season. Tapping Carolyn Hennesy to host the red carpet events is a brilliant move on the part of NATAS, because they know she has a strong fan following, but she’s also professional and can get the job done well.
