Jenna Dewan Tatum On Battling Perfectionism And Instilling Confidence In Her Daughter Everly

Jenna Dewan Tatum is perfect and she knows it. She’s gorgeous, fit, and multitalented. But, even she struggles with being perfect. The entertainer revealed that she had to let go of her perfectionism. Jenna Dewan Tatum also revealed how she works out and how motherhood has changed her for the better. The actress sat down for an exclusive interview with MindBodyGreen.

She admitted that she has a problem with perfectionism. Jenna Dewan Tatum explained that it’s a “big hurdle” that she had to overcome. She learned how to come to terms with herself. Jenna Dewan Tatum isn’t afraid of getting outside her “comfort zone.” She likes to mix it up with her work outs and act like “a hot mess from time to time.”

Jenna Dewan Tatum is still serious about her work outs though. She used to dance eight hours a day. Much didn’t change until she became an adult and a mother. These days, Jenna Dewan Tatum only has time to work out a few days each week. But, she would rather take that over the grueling workouts she used to do. Jenna Dewan Tatum also makes sure to stay active when she’s chasing around her 4-year-old daughter, Everly.

On her recovery days, she turns to essential oils, meditation, and breathing work. Jenna Dewan Tatum’s favorite oil is frankincense, which she uses for meditating. She loves to do “three-point breathing work” but she experiments with all variations of breathing and meditation. Jenna Dewan Tatum’s perfectionism has improved thanks to her daughter.

She relies on the mantra, “Let go, let God.” She admits that she’s not as religious as she sounds. In fact, Jenna Dewan Tatum’s more “spiritual” than anything. Since having her daughter, her priorities have changed for the better. She’s learned how to relax and let those worries go. Jenna Dewan Tatum claims that it’s her secret to success.

Jenna Dewan Tatum also wants to be a positive role model for her daughter. She understands how hard young women have it these days thanks to social media. She spoke to People Magazine at the New York Fashion Week Young Living Essentials Oils event. Jenna Dewan Tatum wants to build her daughter’s confidence at a young age.

She alongside husband Channing Tatum teach their daughter how to be her own person and discover what she’s good at. Jenna Dewan Tatum stresses that it’s important to build their daughter’s confidence at such a young age. Jenna Dewan Tatum may not have it together when it comes perfectionism, but she seems to with her parenting skills.
