Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner run in the same circles, but the latest report from Life & Style Magazine claims that Reese is also playing matchmaker for Jennifer and trying to find her a new boyfriend.
Life & Style’s source explains, “Reese loves to play matchmaker, and she’s on the hunt to find Jen a new man. She’s already planning to host dinner parties for Jen just so she can meet potential suitors.”
Given Reese Witherspoon’s own experience with a contentious divorce and dating after said divorce, she likely relates to Jennifer’s situation – and the source says as much, adding that because Reese settled down with agent Jim Toth after her divorce from a big movie star, she’s advising Jennifer to do the same. As it’s explained, “Reese advised Jen to go for a guy who works behind the scenes rather than another big star whose ego could get in the way of their relationship.”
Unlike Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner did not have affairs with anybody during her marriage, even if her marriage was crumbling for the better part of the past three years. A big part of that was that Jennifer truly was head over heels in love with Ben, and probably tried her best to make a reconciliation work – even if her (now ex) husband had too many issues to ever truly put in the past.
However, that means that it’s been years since Jennifer Garner has gone on a date, and the dating scene – especially in Hollywood – has completely changed since she’s been single. It’s probably smart to take the advice of a ‘matchmaker’, especially when it’s a close friend who has your best interests at heart.
The report also claims that Reese is already planning dinner dates for Jennifer with other eligible bachelors in Hollywood, likely agents and managers and other behind-the-scenes power brokers. Don’t be surprised if two months from now, word leaks that Jennifer is already dating someone new; when Reese is on the scene, things move fast.
