Kate Middleton Envious: Queen Elizabeth Grants Princess Eugenie Permission to Attend Glastonbury

Kate Middleton is absolutely jealous that Queen Elizabeth has granted Princess Eugenie permission to attend Glastonbury this year. Reports indicate that Eugenie had to plead with her grandmother to allow her to miss the last day of Ascot to attend the music festival in nearby Somerset instead.

Eyewitnesses say that Princess Eugenie looked like she was having the time of her life while enjoying a performance by her good friend Ed Sheeran. Eugenie’s sister Princess Beatrice, meanwhile, skipped out on the festivities. She stayed behind to attend the last day of Ascot. Many royal observers are surprised that Beatrice didn’t follow Eugenie by skipping out on Ascot to attend the Glastonbury Festival instead.

And if there’s one person who is feeling as though she’s missing out on all of the fun, it’s Kate Middleton. Royal fans can’t remember the last time Kate Middleton let her hair down and partied in public. She used to love pub crawling and club hopping at all of London’s biggest hot spots. But that was before she married Prince William and became the Duchess of Cambridge. These days her life consists of nothing more than sitting at home with her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, or showing up for her royal engagements and public appearances.

Sure, she attended her sister Pippa Middleton’s Bachelorette party, but it was an ultra-private affair. As much as she would love to leave Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the care of a royal nanny and party at Glastonbury all weekend long, she can’t do that. After all, she’s the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband is the future King of England.

The last thing the British royal family needs right now is to see photos of Kate Middleton in compromising situations. If she attended a music festival like Glastonbury, then everyone would be watching her each and every move from who she hung out with, what she drank, and so on.

For Princess Eugenie though, it’s a different story. Sure, she’s also a member of the royal family, but she’s considerably younger than Kate and doesn’t deal with the same pressure and expectations that Kate has everyday. Plus, she’s not a married royal, either.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Princess Eugenie’s appearance at Glastonbury. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on the royal family right here.
