Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry are once again focusing their attention on mental health issues. As Royal patrons of Heads Together, the trio is encouraging marathon participants to run on behalf of Charity of the Year for the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon.
Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton are scheduled to speak at a briefing on Tuesday, January 17. This briefing will begin the next phase to help outline Heads Together, Charity of the Year for the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon.
The marathon will take place on Sunday, April 23 and Heads Together has shared a countdown video. Prince Harry invites runners who have a place in the London run to participate on behalf of the charity of which the trio are Royal patrons.
Harry reminds us, “As Charity of the Year 2017 London Marathon our runners will be raising money for some of the nation’s leading mental health charities.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Prince Harry are determined to remove the stigma associated with mental health. William, Kate and Harry want people to begin conversations about mental health issues with their family, friends and colleagues.
This will be the second joint Royal engagement for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in January. Kate and William visited the Child Bereavement Centre UK on January 11. The same day Kate, a patron of the Anna Freud Centre, visited the Early Years Parenting Unit.
On January 10 the Duke of Cambridge visited Centrepoint, a hostel for homeless youth with mental health issues. At this time Centrepoint offers housing, health care and employment opportunities to 9,000 homeless young people ages 16 through 25.
As Royal watchers can see Kate Middleton and Prince William are picking up the pace after being called the laziest Royals of 2016.
Prince Harry’s image as a hardworking Royal took a bit of a hit in the later part of 2016 when the ginger-haired prince made a detour to Toronto to visit girlfriend Meghan Markle following his tour of the Caribbean.
Some criticized Prince Harry recently for jetting off with Meghan Markle for a private vacation in Norway to see the Northern Lights, the couple’s first romantic getaway together.
After focusing a bit too much attention on his love life, it appears Harry is back on track with this briefing on behalf of Heads Together and participation in the Virgin Money London Marathon. It also seems as if William and Kate are on a pace to perhaps be called the hardest working Royals of 2017. Come back to CDL for all your Royal news and views!
