Kensington Palace has issued an update regarding Kate Middleton and Prince William’s move from Anmer Hall to London. The Duke of Cambridge is obligated to conclude his two-year commitment to the East Anglia Air Ambulance this summer. Then it’s time to say goodbye to Anmer Hall as the Cambridge’s full time residence.
The press release reveals, “As [Kate and William] have in recent years, Their Royal Highnesses are keen to continue to increase their official work” on behalf of Queen Elizabeth. And that’s not all, Kate and William are expected to focus more of their attention on the charities of which they are patrons.
Do you believe that Kate Middleton is keen to take on more and more work? Do you think Kate is happy that her schedule may include not one, not two, but possibly three engagements in one day? Kate can barely pull off two official Royal visits in a week let alone one day. Breakfast on behalf of one charity, a luncheon for another and dinner for yet a third. That’s the Royal way!
Prince William must be thrilled though. The Duke of Cambridge is stepping away from a high-stress, very demanding job as an air ambulance pilot. Visiting hospices, giving speeches on the importance of mental health awareness and being sent on official visits on behalf of Queen Elizabeth is a walk in the park in comparison.
In the press release William did thank his fellow air ambulance co-workers, stating it had been a privilege to serve the East Anglia Air Ambulance. “I have had experiences in this job I will carry with me for the rest of my life, and that will add a valuable perspective to my Royal work for decades to come,” William revealed in the official press release.
In September Prince George will begin attending school in London. Princess Charlotte will attend nursey and, once completed, will also attend school in London. Coupled with the Duchess of Cambridge’s and Prince William’s increased official Royal workloads, living full-time in Norfolk just isn’t feasible anymore.
Rest assured, Anmer Hall won’t be left empty forever. That would be a colossal waste of taxpayer dollars considering how much money was spent on the remodel. Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince William and Kate Middleton will still call Anmer Hall home because the Cambridge’s love the time they spend there ever so much. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be given some time off to enjoy the quiet and peace in Norfolk.
The Cambridge’s are coming! The Cambridge’s are coming! It’s about time Kate Middleton and Prince William took on the lion’s share of official engagements. Prince Charles, Camilla Parker-Bowles, Princess Anne, Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth’s workloads should have been lightened years ago. Come back to CDL for all your Royal news and updates!
