Kate Middleton is feeling perturbed over Donna Air’s copycat style. A lot of royal observers couldn’t help but notice that Donna Air wore a white lace dress that was very similar to the dress that Kate Middleton wore at Ascot this week.
According to reports, James Middleton’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Donna Air wore a white lace three floor ‘Serafini’ dress the same week Kate Middleton wore her white bespoke Alexander McQueen dress at Ascot. It’s not very surprising that someone like Donna Air would try and copy Kate Middleton’s style in public.
After all, the entire world has been doing it ever since Kate Middleton married Prince William and became a member of the British royal family back in 2011. Fashionistas from both sides of the pond have been desperate to get their hands on all of the same dresses and accessories that Kate wears whenever she’s in public.
But the timing of Donna Air’s appearance and her dress signals that she’s keeping a close eye on her boyfriend’s royal sister. Clearly, she’s copying Kate’s trendsetting style in hopes that she will make the same kind of headlines that the Duchess has been making for years now. But that’s simply not going to happen. A lot of fans know that it doesn’t matter what Donna Air will say or do, she’ll never be like Kate Middleton.
Plus, Donna Air isn’t the only person trying to make headlines for stealing Kate’s style. Lady Kitty Spencer did it too when she wore the Dolce & Gabbana ‘Middleton’ dress to the Cartier Queen’s Cup Polo final in Egham, England on June 18.
A lot of people couldn’t help but wonder if Lady Kitty Spencer was trolling the Duchess by wearing a dress with her name on it. For Kate Middleton, it doesn’t really matter.
People like Lady Kitty Spencer and Donna Air can copy her style and her looks all the want but it’s not going to change the fact that Kate Middleton is and will remain the most stylish woman in the royal family, if not the world. She can wear a simple pair of sneakers and make them the must-have item of the season. Kitty and Donna simply don’t have that same kind of stylish touch or influence for that matter.
Of course, Donna Air hasn’t made any comments about the Kate Middleton comparisons. But then again, it’s very unlikely that she will. In the meantime, don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on the royal family right here!
