When one has the type of reputation in Hollywood as does Katherine Heigl, rumors of marriage trouble are rarely met with anything more than a shrug. As such, Radar Online’s latest report about Katherine Heigl’s marriage falling apart doesn’t seem like much of a surprise, does it? Even if it’s largely a fabrication, most people won’t react to it or go out of their way to dispute it.
Either way, Radar’s source claims that Katherine’s marriage to Josh Kelley is in trouble because her latest TV show flopped. Um, not sure about the causality/effect situation there, but let’s hear the ‘source’ out. They claim, “Josh was thrilled to play house husband and have Katherine working long hours again. Their marriage has always thrived when Katherine is busy and Josh is holding down the fort, but….Katherine has been in an especially foul mood since Doubt’s cancellation. They’ve been bickering nonstop lately and friends are wondering if Katherine’s latest career setback could wreck their marriage once and for all…”
Oh, but of course. The usual hag lady bickering away at her husband because her career is failing. Yes, Katherine Heigl doesn’t necessarily have the best reputation among actresses, and yes, she’s done some… well, not so nice things in the span of her career. However, she’s worked hard to rehabilitate her image, and sources have stated that while studios are still unwilling to take a chance on her – and her acting abilities are still questionable – she is at least trying. Something that, according to this report, her husband Josh Kelley is unwilling to do.
Because yes, when one spouse’s career is in trouble, the other spouse will generally have to deal with mood swings. The way the report makes it sound, Josh Kelley was enjoying the fact that his wife was earning all the money and he didn’t have to do anything – much less hold down a job – but now that she’s out of a job, he’s annoyed that he’s not going to have an endless stream of income coming in.
Sure, it’s dressed up as a story about how he’s annoyed at her constant bickering and nagging, but the underlying theme seems to be about money… as it always is in Hollywood. What do you guys think?
