LeAnn Rimes Performing At NYC Pride’s PrideFest 2017: Fans Hoped For Bigger Headliner?

LeAnn Rimes will be headlining this year’s NYC Pride’s PrideFest 2017 but it looks like fans are not too happy about it. That’s because they were hoping to see a much bigger star at the festival. LeAnn will be on hand to perform her biggest hits a the annual street festival on Sunday, June 25 2017. The free event will take place on Hudson Street in the West Village, where the parade concludes.

LeAnn even said in a statement, “The LGBTQ community is family to me. We have been so supportive of each other over my entire career and my music wouldn’t be the same without their love and quite frankly, their inspiration. I am so honored and excited to perform at PrideFest. Get ready, it’s going to be epic!”

Sure, LeAnn has always supported the LGBT community throughout her career, but she’s not the A-list star she used to be. In fact, the last time LeAnn was even considered an A-lister was during the beginning of her career when she won critical praise for her hits like ‘How Do I Live,’ And ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight.’ Since then, LeAnn has struggled to hang on to her fan base.

Instead of making headlines for her music, her name has continuously been in the gossip blogs and tabloid magazines for her messy personal life. She and her husband Eddie Cibrian allegedly began dating while they were still married to their spouses. A lot of critics blamed LeAnn for supposedly breaking up Eddie and ex-wife Brandi Glanville’s family.

Plus, LeAnn is no longer playing to sold-out audiences like she used to. She hasn’t had a hit single or album in years. Even though she’s released several Christmas albums, she hasn’t managed to generate the same publicity she used to get a decade ago. That’s because most of her fans have abandoned LeAnn because of her controversial personal life.

That’s mostly because the public simply can’t forgive her for her messy divorce and online stalking feud with Eddie Cibrian’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville. Instead of focusing on her music, she got into petty social media fights with Brandi. And even though she and Brandi are supposedly on good terms now, LeAnn hasn’t been able to repair her reputation. Many critics say it will be surprising to see if her fans do show up to support her at PrideFest. Don’t forget to check back with CDL for all the latest news and updates on LeAnn Rimes right here.
