On tonight’s Life of Kylie season 1 premiere episode as per the E! synopsis, “In the series premiere, when Kylie Jenner learns of a bullied fan looking for a prom date, she plans to surprise him as his date, but her quest hits a huge obstacle at the airport.”

Kylie says there’s two sides to her story. There’s the side that the media and everyone else gets to see through Instagram and Snapchat however, there’s also the side that Kylie’s family and friends get to see. The teenager that loves makeup and decided to follow her passion into creating her own makeup line. But while everyone else tends to forget how old she is, Kylie is still very much a teenager and tonight she showed an interest in prom. She had missed out on hers because she was being homeschooled at the time so she had wanted to experience that.
Kylie has a lot of fans that ask her out to prom so she looked through their profiles and she found a cute guy that needed a friend. His name was Albert and his mother described him as an outcast that never felt like he could fit in. So, Kylie sympathize with him and his situation. She had felt like an outcast herself growing up and it took her some time to feel comfortable about herself before she could feel at ease. So, Kylie ultimately decided that she was going to go to prom with Albert and she had brought along her whole team to help her become the perfect prom date.
There was the best friend, the executive assistant, the hair stylist, and the makeup artist. However, Kylie considered them all friends. So they played an important role in her life and she had wanted their help to maintain her image. Kylie was a social media princess and she would often get millions of hits on whatever she posts so she tries to take care with what she posts. She described a picture that had certain fans going WTF and she quickly took the picture down because she knew her fans wouldn’t steer her wrong so that’s where the whole image thing comes in.
But looking back at her own missed prom, Kylie came to regret being homeschooled. She said that she didn’t want to do it though at the time she had been doing so much press events for one thing or another that she didn’t have time to keep with regular school work and would have fallen behind. So Kylie’s career had come first and that meant she missed out on a lot of what her former friends were doing. Like prom and simply hanging out taking pictures. So Kylie chose to have a little fun with prom this time around and she also wanted Albert to enjoy the experience.
Kylie had set up a fake contest that Albert won and he thought that his surprise was going to be a free tux for prom, but the real surprise was going to be Kylie. Kylie was going to surprise her prom date and she was going to do in a pink champagne color dress that she painstakingly picked out just for the event. However, there was some difficulties when Kylie tried to fly out of LA. She hadn’t been able to take a private flight when she wanted to and she hated flying commercial because she knew that there would be a lot of people around taking pictures.
So Kylie’s traveling agent had to rearrange her flight despite it being a time crunch as a way to appease everyone. But Kylie had to start getting ready on the flight and she was still a little late with meeting up with Albert yet he didn’t seem to mind seeing as he was taking out Kylie as well as her best friend Jordyn. Jordyn was a model too and she was in for having fun just like everyone else. So, Albert was pleasantly surprised and he had been so happy to have two beautiful prom dates that were willing to take pictures for his mom. And so the downside didn’t come along until later.
The trio had gone to prom so excited, but they had gotten mobbed down so quickly that it was even hard for them to move around much less talking with Albert’s entire class surrounding them. So, Kylie’s security team had to navigate the group out of there and they were able to finally hang out up on the balcony away from everyone else. Though the class still took a ton of pictures of them from down the below and they had started to chant Albert’s name simply to get his attention which of course it did.
Albert became the most popular guy in his class overnight by getting Kylie Jenner of all people to come to prom and he got to have fun. Maybe not in the way he expected though it still ended up as once in a lifetime experience and he got to share his prom. Kylie hadn’t gone to her own prom so she had thanked Albert for inviting her to his and she had also passed that good will along to Tokyo. Tokyo was her hair stylist and he had missed out on his prom because he was being bullied for being gay and had dropped out of high school. So Kylie arranged for his boyfriend to surprise him and Tokyo was finally able to enjoy prom as well.
Later on, however, the night came to end and Kylie said goodbye to Albert. Albert had been a great date and she had enjoyed herself with him. But normally Kylie was very shy around people because she was afraid of what would happen if she opened herself up. So Kylie tried to adjust to life in the limelight yet she ultimately decided to go to therapy because she had always wanted to try it out and she talked to the therapist about some of her concerns. She said that she used to post funny videos when she was a kid and how that stopped after waves of criticism. And so Kylie had a very good reason for keeping her inner circle small.
She felt like she was thrown in at the deep end when her family first decided to be on reality tv and so now she feels more comfortable with social media than she does with meeting people in person. And Jordyn feels the same way. Jordyn was afraid to open herself up to new people because she didn’t know if they were genuine or if they wanted something from her. Like a possible introduction to Kylie. So, the two preferred going incognito and having fun being silly together because that way no one would judge them.
