Meghan Markle is slowly but surely making herself home at London. Now that she won’t be returning for another season of her hit legal drama Suits, the Hollywood actress is spending more time across the pond to be with her royal boyfriend, Prince Harry. As a matter of fact, many royal observers can’t help but wonder if Meghan is trying to reserve her spot at the dinner table this holiday season with the British royal family.
Meghan was spotted doing a little pre-holiday shopping on King’s Road in London. The actress has been in town since Monday and from the looks of it, she plans on spending her Thanksgiving holiday with her boyfriend rather than with her family back in California. Meghan did a little shopping at the Heidi Klein designer beachwear store and was also seen carrying a bag from the Sarah Chapman boutique as well.
At this point, it’s safe to say that Meghan Markle is looking to spend more time in London now than ever before. After all, there’s no way that she’ll be able to continue working in the entertainment industry and be with Prince Harry at the same time. Yet, many royal critics say that Meghan shouldn’t count on spending Christmas with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family. Unless they get married, there won’t be any room for Meghan at Sandringham Estate.
Queen Elizabeth didn’t make an exception for Kate Middleton while she was dating Prince William and she certainly won’t make an exception for Meghan, either. If that weren’t enough, Meghan Markle’s name was also absent during Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s 70th wedding anniversary dinner earlier this week. Clearly, Meghan will just have to wait until she becomes Prince Harry’s wife until she’s included in any festivities.
As much as Meghan is willing to leave everything she knows behind for a new life in London, Prince Harry will need to propose to her before she’s included in any royal engagements or holiday dinners. Even if Meghan plans on spending Christmas in London, she won’t be able to spend it with her boyfriend.
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement plans, yet royal fans believe that it’s going to happen sooner rather than later.
