Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending Christmas morning with Prince William and Kate Middleton at Anmer Hall. Apparently, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want the newly engaged royal couple to spend a little time with them this holiday season and before they begin their countdown to their royal wedding.
Aunt Meghan will get to spend a little quality time with Prince Harry’s nephew and niece Prince George and Princess Charlotte while they open up their presents on Christmas morning. This will also give Kate Middleton a better opportunity to get to know her future sister-in-law.
Even though Harry and Meghan have been dating for well over a year now, Kate hasn’t spent much time with the Hollywood actress. And now that she is soon going to become a full-time royal, the Duchess wants to get to know Meghan. Or at least, that’s what she wants the public to think.
A lot of royal observers can’t help but wonder how Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will get along behind closed doors. After all, the two women have a lot in common. They are almost the same age, they are trendsetters in the fashion world and above all, they love all the attention they get from the media.
Some even believe that Kate might be worried that Meghan is stealing her spotlight. And while no one knows if that is true, there’s a strong possibility that the Duchess is trying to show the world that she’s not intimidated by someone so popular and so likeable like Meghan. She’s not even an official member of the royal family, and Meghan is already getting the royal treatment by both Prince Harry and Queen Elizabeth.
Even though Meghan Markle is not a member of the monarchy, she will get to spend the holidays with Harry and his grandmother at Sandringham House. Kate Middleton wasn’t even allowed to spend Christmas with the royals until after she married Prince William in 2011. For some reason or another, Queen Elizabeth is bending the rules for Meghan, which is something she never did for Kate.
Of course, there’s also the chance that Kate might be somewhat jealous of Meghan, especially now that she’s the new star of the royal family. That might also be the reason why she and Prince William thought it would be a good idea to have Meghan and Harry spend a little time with them at Anmer Hall. The last thing Kate wants is for the media to start a made up feud between the two women.
