NCIS: Los Angeles begins tonight with Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) waking up shaky, confused and with a blurry memory. He realizes her has bloody hands and a splash of blood on his shirt, recalling a foggy night. He finds Heather Wilson (Gretchen Palmer) lying on the ground; as he checks for a pulse LAPD breaks through the door, Heather has a pulse but is suffering from blunt force trauma to the head.

G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) are both working on their shooting. Kensi insists that Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) sent him to check up on her and she pushes him to tell Hetty she is ready to come back to work; he tells her it can’t hurt to put in a good word.

Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) arrive at work with Deeks telling him that he is takign his advice about him and Kensi not doing the same thing every day and he is trying to find new and exciting things to do. Sam reads right through it, that Deeks is looking for a new place to propose. Deeks tries to deny it, and Sam offers him some ideas.

They are interrupted when Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) says they are need in OPS, both concerned that he isn’t his usual self. The team is informed that Granger was with Heather, when they arrived after an unknown tipster reported gunshots at Heather’s house, and Granger was arrested on-site. No one has been able to speak to him and Deeks offers to go there and pull some strings.

Sam and Callen head to the crime scene. Kensi asks what she can do, Callen tells her they will call her when they find something. Kensi goes to see Hetty who is speaking to Under Secretary Duggan (Jackson Hurst); he is there to oversee her departure. She had 90 days to find the mole and her time is up.

Kensi is upset that they are removing the wrong person, but Hetty says she is a woman of her word. Duggan wants to brief Granger as he will be her temporary replacement, when he asks where Granger is both Hetty and Kensi deny seeing him that day.

At the crime scene, Callen and Sam don’t like the feeling of what is going on. Before they can ask, LAPD Dt. Evans says he can’t give them anything but he tells them he can say he didn’t see them checking out the yard.

At the precinct, Granger is cuffed to a bar while Deeks attempts to see him to no avail. Dt. Ellen Whiting (Karina Logue) from Interanl Affairs stops him from embarrassing himself informing Granger is the least of his worries and they have new evidence in his cold case, and it could just be the evidence she needs. She thanks him for saving her being stuck in traffic and has him arrested.

Deeks sends a text to Kensi before Whiting can take his phone. Kensi tells Hetty that Deeks is arrested and there is no way it is a coincidence that two members of their team were arrested on the same day. Hetty agrees saying it feels like an offensive. Kensi says Deeks must have been arrested because he is no longer responding. Hetty tells her they have spent all this time chasing the mole and now the mole is heading straight at them.

Callen and Sam realize its garbage day, when they find Heather’s garbage bins, they are empty too but were never put out at the road. They find it odd, Callen gets a call from Kensi while Sam finds “roofies” in another garbage bin; he takes a picture. Callen tells Sam that Deeks got arrested, but before they can figure things out the DEA shows up at the crime scene and Sam wants to know why. Sam is asked to open his trunk and inside there is a dead body and a brick of cocaine. Sam asks the DEA to really think about this. They take Sam’s weapon and cuff him. Callen remains hidden.

Kensi comes to the LAPD precinct and once again hits a brick wall when she attempts to find out information on Granger and Deeks. Kensi sees Dt. Whiting and wants to know what evidence she could have on an ice cold case. When she pushes Whiting for information and who is the new source, Whiting says Kensi probably knows what happened all those years ago and says she will subpoena her to find out what she knows. Kensi leaves.

Callen goes to his neighbor Mrs Ramirez (Vivis Colombetti), asking her if she had any visitors today. She says not since last week and it was only a neighbor. Callen’s phone rings, it is Kensi saying she couldn’t get any information on either Deeks or Granger. Callen tells her Sam just got arrested too and she needs to stay on her toes.

He tells her whoever it is, they are coming after all of them and they need to stop them. He won’t tell her where he is, but the ATF arrive at his place, confirming with Kensi they are all be targeted by different agencies. Kensi says its someone with a lot of connection and pull; someone like Duggan! Callen tells Kensi to hang up now as they are tracking their phones. She dumps hers in a purse of someone passing by. A K-9 jumps Callen and he gets arrested.

Under Secretary Duggan asks Hetty if she has heard from Granger yet, she tells him she is not his keeper. He questions how unusual it is and observes all the photos on the wall, complimenting her on her career and despite everything happening he has admired her a great deal. He regrets at how it is all ending, she says no one is more sorry than her. He tells her her last order of business is to find Granger.

Eric and Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) meet with Kensi in a private room, confirming that Callen was right. They have to stay off all systems to get ahead of this. They were discussing ways to figure out who is after them when Eric is told Heather is awake and she has identified Granger as her attacker. All three are shocked and confused. Meanwhile, Granger is taken by an officer who is about to escort him into another room and someone stabs him repeatedly in the back, leaving him to die.

In an interrogation room, Sam is refusing to talk. He asks to speak to another agent, he is denied. Deeks is in another room with Whiting; she is more than willing to do this over and over to get the truth. Deeks wants to see his captain and she says he is unavailable and she is the closest thing he has to an ally there. Deeks continues to badger her, telling her to use her intuition, asking her what evidence she has now.

Whiting shows him a picture of Julie Sanders, a former hooker he helps out. He reviews all the coincidences happening to his team right now, and she needs to know she is being used. She tells him about Kensi bolting when she mentioned subpoena to her. Deeks orders her to leave Kensi out of it; Whiting tells him that she may not even need Kensi.

ATF Agent Duke Morgan (Corey Reynolds) tells Callen he has bad news and worse news. He informs him they found 500 lbs of explosives on his property and a dead body inside his garage. Callen guesses someone tipped him and he tells him his partner was set up too; guessing the body had to have been dead for more than 12 hours, clearly killed somewhere else, just like the body in Sam’s trunk.

Morgan says it sounds like a convenient theory, Callen tells him to look into the fact that Callen, Granger, Deeks and Sam were all arrested today. He tells Morgan the longer they are all locked up the more danger people are in, and asks if he wants that blood on his hands. Morgan seems to believe him.

Kensi tells Hetty Heather is awake and she is happy because Duggan is getting restless. Kensi suggests Duggan could be the mole. Nell rushes over to them, telling them Granger has been stabbed. He is alive but it isn’t looking good. Hetty approaches Duggan, telling him they must speak alone. She tells Nell and Kensi that a strong woman is like a teabag, you never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.

Granger is rushed in an ambulance while Hetty speaks to Duggan. She admits that she hasn’t been honest with him and Owen Granger has been in police custody since this morning and that he has been stabbed. She tells him that 3 of her agents are being held by different agencies across the city. Hetty says she didn’t tell him because she didn’t realize what he has to gain until now. It is HIS career that is depending on finding the mole. He says he can’t help her without knowing everything.

Kensi is at the hospital, dressed as a nurse. She arrives in Heather’s room, telling her she needs an MRI. Security tells her she can’t leave her room without seeing her ID. Kensi puts him in a sleeper hold and takes Heather with her. Kensi tells her she needs to trust her, she is a special agent. As she attempts to get Heather in the car, a van drives by shooting at them. Kensi manages to escape, it was Eric in the van shooting blanks.

Later that night, Deeks is bored, screaming for Whiting. An officer comes in and when Deeks requests to see his captain he is told he is unavailable and they lock the door. Sam requests a phone call, but refuses to eat. Callen is speaking to Agent Morgan who says the evidence is not matching what Callen is saying. Morgan tells him it is going to be a long night. Callen tells him if he lets him out he will do both their jobs. Granger is unconscious in the hospital, tubing and wires all around him.

Heather is handcuffed when Kensi comes into the room. She produces evidence proving that Heather and Natalie were working together, and Heather set up Granger. Duggan and Hetty are watching the interrogation. Kensi offers her protection as it seems her boss no longer needs her. Kensi tells her if she doesn’t accept her help she will either end up in a high security prison or dead like Natalie. She orders her to make a choice.

Heather begins to tap in morse code on the table; Duggan asks why Kensi stopped asking questions. Hetty tells him they are finally getting somewhere. The interview ends and Kensi informs them Heather is working for the CIA.

Nell and Eric tell Hetty the SWAT team is outside the boat shed as they speak. Their communication is cut off. Hetty says she will handle it and Duggan says this has gone too far and he will deal with it because it is time he did his job.

Duggan comes out to speak to the FBI and a sniper shoots him. Nell and Eric are trying to find out where the shot came from, both worried that Duggan was the last person who could help them. Hetty bows her head and Kensi says they need to get out of there. FBI breaks open the door, they find Heather in one of the rooms. The rest of the shed is empty, but they discover the hatch leading to the water below. To Be Continued…..

THE END!
