Is Nikki Reed upset that Nina Dobrev is back on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries?’ That might be the case as the actress has been keeping a low profile ever since Nina announced that she will be reprising her role as Elena Gilbert on the hit CW show’s series finale.
The last time Nikki and her husband Ian Somerhalder were spotted together was in mid-January. Since then, they haven’t been seen together in public. That’s why there’s speculation that Nikki might not be too pleased with the fact that Ian is working with his ex-girlfriend again.
After months of rumors and reports, Nina Dobrev announced on her Instagram account that she is back on the show that helped make her a household name. Of course, many viewers couldn’t help but wonder if Ian tried to keep Nina off the show. After all, many reports indicated that Nina was struggling to negotiate her return with ‘The Vampire Diaries’ producers.
Plus, Nikki Reed might be worried that Ian might have some left over feelings for Nina. One of the reasons why they broke up was because Ian was desperate to marry Nina, but she wasn’t ready to settle down yet. They broke up and Ian ended up dating and marrying Nikki instead.
What’s more, it doesn’t look like Ian Somerhalder is warming up to his ex-girlfriend, either. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ creator Kevin Williamson shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Nina with her co-star Paul Wesley on his Instagram account. The next day Ian shared his own selfie with Paul on his social media account.
Many fans can’t help but notice that Ian is doing whatever it takes to keep his distance from Nina. Is Nikki warning him to stay away from her? Did she give her husband an ultimatum? That’s what fans want to know. But fans know that Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are going to cross paths one way or another.
So far Ian Somerhalder has not made any comments about Nina Dobrev’s return. What’s more, both Ian and Nikki have not made any public appearances in well over a month as well.
