Is Nikki Reed wearing the pants in her marriage to Ian Somerhalder? The former ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star was spotted wearing his wife’s purse while the two were out and about in Venice Beach, California over the weekend.
Ian might have done his pregnant wife a favor by offering to carry her purse for her, but he’s also doing a whole lot more. In fact, many believe that Ian might be putting his entire Hollywood career on hold so he can not only help Nikki raise their newborn baby but to also allow his wife to pursue her own career aspirations.
Nikki revealed during her pregnancy announcement that she has a new sustainable clothing line. She wants to spend whatever free time she has to promote it and of course, help make the line successful.
In other words, there’s a good possibility that Nikki is wearing the pants in their marriage. She’s now the breadwinner of their household and perhaps even the one pulling all of the strings behind closed doors. Then again, no one knows how long Ian will last being a stay-at-home dad with nothing to do. Sure, ‘The Vampire Diaries’ might be over, but that doesn’t mean his career is over, too. I
If Ian doesn’t land any upcoming projects or movie roles soon, he might become another forgotten actor in Hollywood. And that’s the last thing he wants to see. Right now he doesn’t have anything lined up which isn’t a good sign for his future. Fans will just have to wait and see what Ian’s next move will be.
Nikki doesn’t have anything in the pipeline either but with a new baby on the way, there’s a chance that she’ll use her new title as a celebrity mom to endorse and promote baby products. Also, it wouldn’t be surprising if Nikki also tried to expand her sustainable clothing line by creating a line for kids and babies, too. For Nikki, the possibilities are endless, especially since this is only the beginning of her new business venture.
So far Ian hasn’t made any comments about his future or his next career move for that matter. Right now he has nothing else to do but wait for the arrival of his first child and of course, hold Nikki Reed’s purse for her.
