‘Outlander’ Season 3 spoilers indicate that there is going to be a lot of heartache for Claire as she struggles to return to 1948 and her husband, Frank. In fact, a lot of fans are calling the highly-acclaimed show’s new teaser trailer a montage of Claire and Jamie’s lost love.
The show stars Sam Heughan as Highlander warrior Jamie Fraser and Caitriona Balfe as Claire Randall, a married World War II nurse that finds herself transported back to Scotland in 1743.
‘Outlander’ Season 3 begins with Claire and Jamie living in two different timelines. It’s also based on the third installment of Diana Gabalon’s book series, ‘Voyager.’ Claire is apparently back in the 20th century and in Boston after Jamie forced her to leave Scotland. Meanwhile, Jamie is dealing with the aftermath of the battle of Culloden. He’s also devastated with the loss of Claire.
Meanwhile, Claire gives birth to her daughter Brianna and introduces her to Frank, who will ultimately raise her. But at the same time, Claire is depressed and devastated to be back in 1948, even though she’s reunited with her husband Frank. She’s thinking about Jamie day and night and how she can return to the one man she truly loves and she’s doing whatever it takes to return to the 18th century and her hunky Scottish warrior.
Of course, a lot of fans are looking forward to seeing what will happen next for Claire and Jamie. Fans of the show absolutely love following Claire and Jamie’s relationship in the series, as Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe undoubtedly have great chemistry together.
Some even believe that Sam and Caitriona might be hiding a secret off-screen relationship too, although that has never been confirmed. But fans will soon find out the truth, especially since Sam and Caitriona will soon be forced to promote Season 3 in their media appearances and interviews together.
‘Outlander’ Season 3 returns this fall. While the Starz network has not confirmed an actual debut date, reports indicate that production and filming has just moved to Cape Town, South Africa from Scotland. What’s more, ‘Outlander’ has also been renewed for a fourth season, although insiders say that the show could start taking its own direction rather than follow Diana Gabalon’s book series.
