It looks like Paul Wesley is a single man again. New reports indicate that ‘The Vampire Diaries’ star and his longtime girlfriend, Phoebe Tonkin, have called it quits. The couple first met on the set of the CW show back in 2012.
Insiders say that Paul and Phoebe are still good friends, but others don’t believe it. Many fans have noticed that Phoebe stopped wearing the Cartier promise ring Paul gave her earlier in their relationship. Phoebe also deleted several photos of Paul on her Instagram account, too. So could that mean their relationship took a turn for the worst? Did something happen behind closed doors? If they were indeed still good friends, then Phoebe wouldn’t have deleted all of Paul’s photos. That’s what fans want to know.
Then again, Paul Wesley’s fans aren’t surprised to hear that he’s no longer with Phoebe Tonkin. They’ve been dodging break up rumors for several months now. Many of Paul’s fans have noticed that Phoebe was less present on his multiple social media accounts, including Instagram. What’s more, the couple was last spotted together while they were making their way to Sydney from Los Angeles last December. They spent the holidays with Phoebe’s family in her native Australia.
As many fans can recall, Paul was married to his ex-wife Torrey DeVitto during the same time he and Phoebe met on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ Some insiders even hinted that Paul allegedly cheated on his wife Torrey with Phoebe. They got together only two months after Paul announced his separation from Torrey.
Plus, the timing couldn’t be any worse right now. Paul has been working hard promoting the series finale of ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ The last thing he wants is for the media to ask him questions about his break up with Phoebe or his personal life for that matter. It would have been easier on Paul if the break up reports didn’t hit the gossip blogs and tabloid media until well after the series finale of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ was over.
