Kate Middleton is pregnant yet again! The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have announced that they are expecting their third child and as a result, Kate Middleton has already canceled all of her royal engagements because she is once again suffering from extreme morning sickness, or hyperemsesis gravidarum.
In a statement, Kensington Palace said: “Their royal highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their third child.”
For many royal observers, they are not surprised that Kate Middleton has decided to pull the plug on all of her royal engagements the same day she and Prince William announced that they are expecting. The Duchess was expected to appear at the Hornsey Road Children’s Center in London, but pulled out at the very last minute.
While there’s no doubt that the entire royal family is delighted with Kate Middleton’s pregnancy news, many royal critics can’t help but point out the timing of it all. After all, both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are still considered to be the laziest couple in modern royal history.
They are yet to put in the same amount of work as Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles or even Queen Elizabeth for that matter. With Kate out of the picture now because of her pregnancy, it will be up to her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry to double or even triple their workload while Kate recovers from her hyperemsesis gravidarum.
Of course, that’s not Kate Middleton’s only dilemma right now. Prince George is expected to start his first day of pre-school on Thursday, September 7. For the longest time, Kate was adamant that she would be there to drop him off and pick him up on his first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea School.
As a mother, she’s been waiting for this moment for several months now. Kate knows that she can’t she can’t show up at her son’s pre-school the same week she canceled all of her public appearances. Queen Elizabeth would be outraged.
So far Kensington Palace has not made any additional comments about Kate Middleton’s pregnancy. Although there’s a strong possibility that the Duchess will remain under the radar until the end of her first trimester.
