Queen Elizabeth is none too pleased with the fact that another television show is reevaluating the messy and complicated marriage that was between Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Reports say that the second season of Ryan Murphy’s Fox show ‘Feud’ will be focusing on Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s complicated life together. “Feud: Charles and Diana” will air in 2018.
The first season of ‘Feud’ will air this Sunday, March 5th. The series will track the Hollywood rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis.
Earlier this month, Ryan Murphy hinted that there was definitely more juicy drama to come on Season 2 of ‘Feud.’ He told the Hollywood Reports in an interview, “I don’t want to do another woman to woman feud and I certainly would never do another Hollywood feud because I don’t think you can top Bette and Joan. I’m interested in this show being a two-hander that’s really about the human dilemma of pain and misunderstanding. And I think you need a long period of time, maybe 20 to 40 years, to have a big back story.”
Of course the last thing Queen Elizabeth wants to see is more royal drama played out on the small screen. Viewers have already gotten a glimpse of her first days as Queen in Netflix’s critically-acclaimed series, ‘The Crown.’ And now with ‘Feud’ taking a look at Charles and Diana’s marriage, it will do nothing more than fuel even more rumors about their relationship and divorce.
Another person who is not too pleased about this is Camilla Parker-Bowles. She’s sick and tired of the media continually hashing out dirty details about Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s marriage. Plus, there’s a good chance that the season will also show her involvement with Prince Charles and their alleged affair. That’s the last thing she wants to see on television right now.
Camilla has been working so hard to win the public over with her appearances and royal engagements. She simply wants everyone to stop painting her as the ‘other woman’ in a marriage that doesn’t even exist anymore.
