Princess Beatrice is defending Sarah Ferguson by saying that her mother is simply misunderstood by the public and the media. She says that people simply don’t know who the “real Sarah Ferguson” is behind closed doors.
Sarah Ferguson has always had a very close relationship with her daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. And now Beatrice is trying to convince the world that her mother isn’t as bad as everyone is making her out to be. In fact, she told Hello! Magazine that her mother Sarah is one of her biggest role models while also hinting that the world should give her another chance.
Beatrice told the publication, “I admire my mother so much because she’s probably one of the most misunderstood women in the world. She has taught me over the years that anything is possible, no matter where you think the world is going to put you next. Joy is still coming around the corner and the joy will be there. We’ve been through some incredibly stressful times together as a family and every single minute she created joy. I am so lucky that I get to learn from her every single day.”
But at the same time, Sarah Ferguson has managed to embarrass her daughter and the royal family with her multiple and very public gaffes. As a matter of fact, Princess Beatrice couldn’t help but hide her embarrassment when Sarah Ferguson made a fool out of herself trying to curtsy in front of Queen Elizabeth at Ascot over the summer. More recently, Sarah proudly displayed a post-it note written by her daughters that said “I love you mum” on the back seat of her car. For some reason or another, Sarah thought it was a good idea to keep the note in the car and on full display for the paparazzi to see.
If that weren’t enough, Sarah caused one controversy after another while she was still married to Prince Andrew. She was linked to a number of men, including Texan millionaire Steve Wyatt. She was also photographed sun bathing topless with her ex John Bryan and was also filmed offering access to the Duke of York for half a million pounds. As much as Beatrice wants everyone to believe that her mother is simply understood, she continues to make headlines either for her scandals or for her strange behavior in public.
