Princess Eugenie Fights Queen Elizabeth’s Snub By Announcing Art Auction

Princess Eugenie refuses to be ignored. Even though Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles have made it clear that they have no intentions of making Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice full-time royals, she’s now showing the world that she’s just as important as the rest of the royal family and she’s announced an art auction that will help aid disadvantaged children.

Reports indicate that Princess Eugenie of York will be hosting a ‘Be Inspired’ Contemporary Art Auction to benefit children in need in London on March 8th. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the ‘Be Inspired ‘charity to help children in the UK who are at risk from being left behind. Princess Eugenie is also a Patron of the charity.

Princess Eugenie even said in a statement,I am truly inspired by the amazing work Children & the Arts does to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. For more than a decade, the charity has been using the arts to help children overcome the unfair barriers that can hold back confidence, self-worth and attainment. This auction will give them the vital funds they need to continue to be there for the many children in the UK that need their support.”

Princess Eugenie is no stranger to the art world. She worked as an associate director at a London art gallery. Yet, many believe that she might have quit her job because she hasn’t been spotted at the Hauser and Wirth art gallery since late last year.

Some people can’t help but wonder if Eugenie is using this opportunity to show Queen Elizabeth that her work as a member of the royal family matters, too. Is she looking to take matters into her own hands now? Does she want to prove to the world that she is just as important as Kate Middleton? Some royal observers feel that might be the case. It’s doubtful that Queen Elizabeth will make Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice full-time royals anytime soon.
