Princess Sofia of Sweden is pushing Kate Middleton to the side as the world’s newest style icon. At least, that’s what the Duchess of Cambridge’s critics believe as Princess Sofia has managed to win the royal spotlight with her beauty, poise and impeccable taste in fashion.
Just recently, Princess Sofia has been applauded for turning her signature style into a more polished look. In fact, a lot of people believe that Sofia is quickly making her way to the top of the best dressed list with her understated style and elegance, leaving Kate Middleton quite worried over her title as the world’s most stylish royal.
As a former model and reality television star, Princess Sofia has the kind of self-confidence that Kate often lacks on the red carpet. Whereas the Duchess looks stiff and is often criticized for her bad posture, Princess Sofia always looks confident and poised with very little effort.
There’s also a strong possibility that Kate Middleton might already be jealous of Princess Sofia. After all, she’s confident, beautiful and well spoken. Plus, Princess Sofia and her husband Prince Carl Philip have the kind of look of love in public that Kate can only dream of having with Prince William. Whereas Prince Carl Philip often shows how much he loves his wife by gazing at her beauty and smiling, Prince William rarely ever shows any emotion towards his wife at their public appearances.
If that weren’t enough, he almost never looks at her or holds her hand, and even when they are behind the scenes, too. Clearly, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have the kind of chemistry that Kate Middleton could only wish for with Prince William.
Princess Sofia isn’t a household name, unlike the Duchess of Cambridge. Yet, slowly but surely the Swedish princess is making more headlines as a stylish royal to watch and follow. With that being said, Princess Sofia is making more of an effort to speak out against bullying at conferences and forums with her husband.
The more she’s in the spotlight, the more of a chance she has of stealing the Duchess of Cambridge’s thunder altogether. And that’s the last thing Kate Middleton would want to see. The world might not be big enough for two royal style icons.
