Ruby Rose has slammed Katy Perry and her music while also calling the chart topper a bully. A lot of fans believe that Katy Perry’s single, ‘Swish Swish’ takes a direct jab at Taylor Swift. And while Katy doesn’t directly call out any names, a lot of people can’t help but notice that ‘Swish’ does sound a lot like ‘Swift,’ especially Taylor’s friend, Ruby Rose.
Taylor and Katy had a huge fallout several years ago over a backup dancer and have not been on speaking terms ever since. And now Ruby is calling out Katy for mocking her friend in the lyrics of her new song.
The lyrics to ‘Swish’ include, “From a selfish or a sheep/ Don’t you come for me/ No, not today/ You’re calculated/ I got your number,” the 32-year-old pop star sings. “‘Cause you’re a joker/ And I’m a courtside killer queen/ And you will kiss the ring/ You best believe. So keep calm, honey, I’ma stick around/ For more than a minute, get used to it,” she continues crooning. “Funny my name keeps comin’ outcho mouth/ ‘Cause I stay winning.”
Sure enough, Ruby Rose isn’t impressed with Katy’s swipe towards Taylor. She took to her Twitter account to express exactly how she feels about the song. Ruby tweeted, “’Purposeful poop’ to ‘bomb a petit’ to a sloppy mess of writing over the top of Funkagenda..stop trying to make ‘Wit..I mean ‘fetch’ happen.”
Yet, one Twitter follower pointed out that Taylor did the same thing by apparently writing ‘Bad Blood’ which many believe is about Katy Perry.
Ruby responded with, “Wasn’t around sweetheart but my bully experiences came from one of the people involved in that song and it’s obviously not T.”
While Taylor has made no comments about Katy’s music or her long-standing feud with the chart topper for that matter, it looks like her friends are doing all the talking for her.
At this point, it looks like Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’s feud will never end. Of course, the last thing Taylor wants to do is fuel anymore fires, especially after all the bad publicity she got for feuding with Calvin Harris and Kanye West back in 2016. That’s why Taylor believes that she’s better off staying quiet, even if her friend’s refuse to do the same.
