Ryan Seacrest is renting a new luxury townhouse right next to Kelly Ripa in New York City, leading many to believe that he might be getting a bit too close to his new ‘Live!’ co-host.
New reports indicate that Ryan Seacrest is renting a luxury townhome only a stone’s throw away from Kelly Ripa’s Upper East Side apartment. And apparently, Ryan is absolutely in love with his new digs. Even though he calls Los Angeles home, he’ll be spending more time in the Big Apple to tape episodes of ‘Kelly and Ryan Live!’ from Monday to Thursday every week. He was even spotted taking his girlfriend, Shayna Taylor, back to his apartment after a date night they enjoyed in the city.
One neighbor even told Page Six, “He enjoyed the building [150 Charles] and was often hanging out in the lobby while his driver and SUV waited for him outside.”
Kelly, meanwhile, lives in a $27 million townhouse on East 6th Street with her husband, Mark Consuelos. That means both Kelly and Ryan are going to be seeing a lot of each other both at work and in their neighborhood. This could either be a great or really bad idea, especially given Kelly’s troubled past with her former co-hosts.
Both Kelly and Ryan are going to have to really tolerate working and living so close to each other, especially since their television talk show depends on it. In other words, Kelly is going to have to bite her tongue in order to avoid any awkward confrontations, or worse, on-air feuds should something go wrong between them. And for someone like Kelly Ripa, that might be difficult.
The last thing Kelly Ripa would want is for Ryan Seacrest to leave the show. But him moving so close to her makes their relationship a little too close for comfort. Soon enough, both Ryan and Kelly won’t even have any room to breath and that’s because they will end up spending so much time together, whether they like it or not. Even married couples who work and live together have a hard time making their relationship work without taking any breaks from one another.
