Liv and Marcus are informed that their meeting was scheduled by mistake. The president won’t be meeting with them.
That night, Mellie holds in what she knows while Cyrus talks about her run for the presidency. Liv comes home. Fitz is watching the news. He can’t believe Mellie is running for president. They get into a fight that he used to be a big dog and now Liv doesn’t recognize him. He asks her about Marcus Walker is. She must be screwing him. Meanwhile, Fitz is drinking in his dressing room. His guest on the show – a bachelorette of sorts from a reality show Huck was watching – comes in. They start fooling around. Fitz kicks her out after a little bit, yelling for her to go. He collapses against the wall.
Mellie is mad that Cyrus leaked the photos to the press. She is also mad that he didn’t fire Rowan. Cyrus gets mad. It’s their run for the presidency. She knew who he was, what he was. Cyrus tells her that their relationship is freeing. No other woman will come between them.
Liv has a visitor at the office, it’s Mellie. She lashes out at Liv and then apologizes. Mellie tells her that she saved Fitz before taking off.
The Grant Report covers the photos that Cyrus leaked. Fitz gets sad while discussing it on air. He shows up at Liv’s. He can see now why Liv did what she did. He is sorry. It took him far too long that he has a lot of work to do, to figure out. The man she deserves. He still wants her. She hands him an envelope with a picture of a townhouse in Georgia. They kiss.
