Both The Weeknd and Justin Bieber are from Canada. That’s right, they’re both Canadian exports. Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, was born in Scarborough, Canada. Meanwhile, Justin Bieber was born in London, Ontario, and was raised in Stratford, Ontario. It seems like Selena Gomez has a thing for Canadian guys.
Not to mention, she has a thing for pop stars. Justin Bieber has been on the scene ever since he started singing on YouTube. Unfortunately, he’s not going away anytime soon. His last album, Purpose, rose to the top of the charts thanks to his singles like “What Do You Mean?,” “Sorry,” and “Love Yourself.”
The Weeknd has become a household name thanks to his single, “Can’t Feel My Face.” Though he sings about sleeping with multiple women and experimenting with drugs, suburban moms and teen girls still like his songs. That has secured him on top of the charts. It’s kind of like Justin Bieber and The Weeknd sort of share the same kind of fan base. He’s due to have more success thanks to his new album, Starboy, which includes the hit songs “Feel It Coming” and “Starboy.”
Both guys are also bad boys. As stated before, The Weeknd loves to sing about his recreational drug use. He admitted to Rolling Stone that he doesn’t experiment with drugs as much, only when he’s making music. As for Justin Bieber, he’s been through his share of legal troubles.
It has been reported that he used to smoke marijuana and drink sizzurp, a mixture of cough syrup, soda, and Jolly Ranchers.
What else do Justin Bieber and The Weeknd have in common? Well, they both dated models in the past. Justin Bieber revealed in his Billboard cover story that he was involved with Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin. The Weeknd was in a high-profile relationship with Bella Hadid for a year before he moved on with Selena Gomez.
But Bella Hadid is the one who’s more shaken up about their split. She revealed in her Teen Vogue cover story that he was her first serious relationship and she’s still in love with him. He seems to have moved on easily. The Weeknd has been spotted with Selena Gomez on his arm around the world.
The girl is very insecure when it comes to her relationships. She was very protective of Justin, and she’s doing the same in this relationship. Hopefully, when they call it quits, it will be for good instead of their hot-and-cold games.
