‘The Bachelorette’ Spoilers: Rachel Lindsay’s Contestant Bryce Powers Slammed For Transphobic Comment

The Bachelorette spoilers reveal that Rachel Lindsay’s season of is already marred with controversy. Contestant Bryce Powers is being slammed for transphobic comments he recently made.

According to Us Weekly, Bryce is getting a lot of heat after reportedly leaving a transphobic comment on ABC’s website. He took part in the network’s ‘Bachelorette’ questionnaire but there was one answer that left a lot of members of the LGBT community pretty upset. When he was asked, “What’s your biggest date fear,” he answered with, “The chick is actually a dude.”

For Rachel Lindsay, this is bad news and that’s because she’s reportedly been quite disappointed with this season’s batch of contestants. Earlier this month, insiders close to the reality television star said that she didn’t like the fact that two of the guys on ‘The Bachelorette’ are from previous reality dating shows. Blake Elarbee and Lucas Yancey were both on the first season of WE tv’s reality dating show ‘Ex Isle’ in 2016.

‘The Bachelorette’ Season 13 spoilers also reveal that two contestants have also been accused of cheating and have had run-ins with the law. It’s no wonder that Lindsay has been feeling very nervous about this season. She didn’t put her career as an attorney on hold to date guys that are a waste of her time. And she clearly didn’t expect someone to make transphobic comments on a simple Internet questionnaire.

As far as Bryce’s controversy though, Rachel has stayed quiet. Fans will just have to tune in to see what Rachel will say or how she’ll react when she meets Bryce on the show. Rachel has already proven that she’s not the kind of girl who will pick anyone. In fact, many Bachelor nation fans are positive that she’ll weed out the bad picks from the show pretty fast.

Despite all of the controversy though, ‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers indicate that Rachel is engaged to one of the contestants.

Spoilers indicate that Rachel picked contestant Peter Krause during the final rose ceremony in Spain, which took place on Thursday, May 11. Rachel even said during an interview with the press that she’s madly in love with her new fiancé.

So far Bryce Powers has not comments on the controversy or offered an apology to the LGBT community for that matter. Rachel Lindsay’s ‘The Bachelorette’ debuts Monday, May 22 at 8pm EST on the ABC network.
