The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is too cocky for his own good. He thinks Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) love is a given and that she’ll accept the gaudy ring Quinn (Rena Sofer) created for him to give to his multiple time ex-wife.
Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) believes that Ridge is a total tool. B&B fans must ask this question based on that premise. What type of fool would ask the woman who Brooke saw kissing her soon-to-be husband on a beach in Australia to make her re-engagement ring? That ranks with, or at the top of Ridge’s most boneheaded decisions ever!
And what was Quinn thinking? She just beat back Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) in an impressive display of courage and wits. But then the woman who’s image hangs above the mantle in Eric’s mansion agrees to create a ring that Ridge plans to give to Brooke?
Brooke will rightly explode the instant she learns that Quinn was involved in this plan. Who knows, considering Ridge’s ego, he might even tell his supposed true love that Quinn was the bling creator.
Brooke’s one-time other ex-husband has been open as to why he’s returned to Los Angeles. Thorne told Ridge and Eric (John McCook) that he’d like to be a designer and showed both men some of his creations that were inspired by Ally (Ashlyn Pearce). Now, this week, Thorne kissed Brooke on the lips and told her that they should remarry.
Oh yes, B&B has nicely established a double-edged storyline based on dangerous sibling rivalry. Of course Marone is only a half-sibling, as Thorne pointedly stated.
The pushing match that Thorne and Ridge engaged in at Logan’s house appeared to wink at a coming physical brawl. Readers took notice of Brooke’s nickname, Logan, as Ridge’s applied moniker. At the moment Lang’s character is inclined to reunite with Ridge, but that could soon change.
R.J. (Anthony Turpel) factors into Brooke’s potential remarriage equation, whereas she and Thorne never had a child when they were once married. Intriguingly, Turpel’s character showed his father sketches that he’d created.
Ridge told his son that he plans to serve as his mentor. Obviously, this plot point was inserted as a future poke in Thorne’s eye. Ridge will surely claim that R.J., a teenager, has more talent and potential than his little brother.
Viewers might split their bets if odds were posted on an in-ring, MMA style fight between Thorne and Ridge. The same might be true where Brooke’s marital choice is concerned as well.
Each business and personal issue telegraphs to solid soap moving forward. Two triangles are now in place; Eric’s potential preference of either son at work and Brooke’s choice of the next man.
