The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) will continue to keep her romantic options open. She may not be intentionally pitting Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) against each other right now. But that result will be forced into existence based upon her having offered Thorne a guest room in her house.
Allowing Thorne to move into her house wasn’t a statement. That choice was an act of family generosity, or at least that’s what Brooke believes. Ridge doesn’t see it that way at all. He also doesn’t trust his so-called little brother one bit. Based on Thorne’s early words and actions, Ridge’s instincts are spot on.
Thorne spoke with Eric (John McCook) about why Ridge didn’t remarry Brooke; stating that he knew what happened in Australia with Quinn (Rena Softer). His knowledge shocked Ridge’s adoptive father.
The non-biological point is one that Thorne will continue using moving forward. As B&B viewers recall, Ridge isn’t Eric’s son. That specific issue was rubbed raw when Kaye’s character began his dalliance with Quinn more than a year ago.
Eric is not open to revisiting the matter, as he stated when the Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) topic was brought up by Thorne. Quinn and Eric have since repaired the trouble Sheila stirred up since the summer. Queric regained stability and remains solid.
The Quidge, or Rinn if one prefers, pairing never actually went anywhere. However, family chaos resulted from Quinn and Ridge having flirted with each other and kissed on a handful of occasions.
Meanwhile, Brooke just left Bill (Don Diamont) because, well he’s Dollar Bill. The soon-to-be former Mrs. Spencer is proceeding with significant caution, as she doesn’t want to act impulsively on rebound feelings.
Ridge has broken Brooke’s trust in the past. Yes, he loves her and they share a son, R.J. (Anthony Turpel). But can she trust the man who claims she’s his only love? A good deal of time will need to pass before that question can be answered, if it ever can. That’s why, as of the foreseeable future, Brooke and Ridge won’t be retying the knot.
Thorne’s return from Paris naturally reignited a sibling rivalry that existed with Ridge. Injecting a romantic fight for Brooke into the equation, which surely seems plausible considering established circumstances, would exacerbate their brotherly differences. In the end, Brooke may be the beneficiary of whatever transpires.
