The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers tease that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) will need to adapt to a tougher than expected enemy. Quinn (Rena Sofer) has thus far proven to be a fierce fighter as both women battle for Eric (John McCook).
Actually, Sheila believes in her mind that she’s battling Quinn. In reality that’s not the case. While Eric evidenced compassion for Sheila upon her stunning return to Los Angeles, he obviously remains enchanted by Sofer’s character.
Sheila tried to use Charlie (Dick Christie). That effort didn’t fail, as he has provided useful information. However, he’s not scared of Sheila and has fought back against her manipulation.
James (Ian Buchanan) did go along with Sheila’s injury ruse. Doing so allowed her to stay in the Forrester mansion for a handful of days. But her exaggerated head injury didn’t lead to Quinn’s ouster. Instead, a second physical battle resulted in Eric telling Sheila to leave the house.
Sheila was working three angles. She first told Eric about Kwyatt, which shortly thereafter served to put Quinn at odds with her husband. As that circumstance has been playing out, Sheila bribed Mateo (Francisco San Martin) to seduce Mrs. Forrester. Miss Carter also recently formed an alliance with Pam (Alley Mills).
Sheila’s multifaceted approach is necessary. In and of itself, it appears to suggest that she knows her fight isn’t and won’t be easy. That’s why she needs access to as many people as possible who are close to Eric and Quinn.
The Pam angle may prove interesting. Being Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) sister means that she’s motivated to undercut Quinn. Sheila formed an emotional bond with Pam when they spoke at the Trattoria. As long as they don’t clash, this connection could prove valuable.
Mateo’s forced reveal to Quinn allowed her to capture Sheila’s seemingly useful pawn. Quinn didn’t indicate that she was turned on by this young man who is younger than her son Wyatt (Darin Brooks). Sheila and some viewers thought an affair, or some type of setup would happen. Instead, that option is now off the (massage) table.
Balanced minds would recognize that Eric is unattainable. Even if he and Quinn separate, or divorce at some point, Sheila would not be his next option. But this is one of B&B’s most notorious villains and Brown is signed to remain on the show through next spring. So either Sheila will continue to recalibrate, or she’ll shift her obsession to someone else.
Will Sheila give up on Eric and seek out a new target for her delusional desires? Is Quinn just too tough a nut for Sheila to crack? Or is Quinn’s murder Sheila’s next and last resort – might Quinn need an accomplice like Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) to pull off her evil plot?
