On tonight’s The Royals season 3 episode 4 called, “Our (Late) Dear Brother’s Death,” as per the E! synopsis, “Jasper (Tom Austen) and Eleanor (Alexandra Park) immerse themselves in their relationship while Liam (William Moseley) must reappraise his latest tryst; enduring his cancer, King Cyrus’ (Jake Maskall) past pays him a visit; the palace arranges a press conference to announce earth-shattering news.”

On this week’s episode of The Royals Robby(Max Brown) returns home much to the shock of both Elenor(Alexandra Park) and Queen Helena(Elizabeth Hurley)They are both so shocked to see him that they faint dead away. When Elanor comes to Robby tells her “You always did make things about you.” Meanwhile, Cyrus (Jake Maskall) does not seem happy about the return of his nephew. He tells him “I must make things clear. Things have changed while you’ve been gone.”
Liam (William Moseley) and his lady are enjoying the morning after when Jasper (Tom Austen) interrupts them. He tells Liam “You are needed at your post immediately your highness.” Liam says “Jasper since when do you call me Your Highness?” Jasper doesn’t respond to the question. Instead, he repeats his request that Liam report to his post. Liam dresses quickly and dashes into the throne room to see his brother. They embrace in a deep hug. The two sit in the throne room and discuss their father’s untimely passing.
Cyrus and Chad are talking. Cyrus tells him “I’m not going to be king anymore My last remaining gig will be laying in my casket.” Chad is bemused and says “But Sire.” Cyrus is disgusted and him “Just vanish.”
The family is discussing the death of the King. Anne tells them “For us to keep this from being public we have to keep business as usual. Send a couple Tweets.” She asks Robert “How many people are involved with the rescue?” Robert tells her “Six, but I told them I had to tell you in person so I had them drive me up to the tunnel.” Victoria seems pleased to hear this and says “We need to keep a tight lid on this now.” She tells one of the other assistants “Proceed with the interview with Vanity Fair and do not let on that anything is wrong.”
Eleanor is on the phone working on scheduling an interview when Jasper comes into the room. He compliments her on how grown up she has become and tells her “You never used to do interviews. Suddenly Robert bursts into the room looking for Liam. Things get very uncomfortable for a moment as Eleanor introduces the two men. Elenor says “You must be looking for Liam.” Robert responds “Of all people you would think he would know where Liam is.”
Later on that night Robert and Victoria share a moment. She seems to realize that he may be uncomfortable with the fact that his old room has been converted into a guest room. He quickly tells her “Mom relax. This is what I what I wanted. Simple and easy.” This seems to put Victoria at ease. Robert addresses her relationship with the late King. He asks her “I suppose we can add you to the list of people who had a not so good relationship with dad.” Victoria laughs and says “I’m at the top of the list.” Robert hugs his mom. He says “It must have been hard losing him.” Victoria returns her son’s hug and tells him “None of that matters now that I have you back.” Later the press conference announcing the death of the king is presented.
Victoria is speaking with Mr. Crenshaw who is trying to get the dirt on the Royals after the death of the King. This includes Robert’s return and the paternity of the twins. Victoria tells him “You know i can’t comment on the paternity of the twins.”
Ophelia (Merrtt Patterson) comes back to visit Cyrus. He tells her “It appears that I am not the heir to the throne. It seems that Robert may or may not be alive.” Ophelia slaps him and says “Where is the man who would do anything for the throne?” Cyrus tells her “He’s right here.” She tells him “Then put on your big girl panties or your favorite pair of mine and go get what you want!”
Robert and Liam are standing outside talking. Liam is texting on his phone. Robert tells him “You were texting while we talked in the throne room and then all through lunch. What is that all about?” Liam shrugs him off. He tells him “It’s no big deal.” Robert says “Let’s go take a walk.” Liam tells him “You’re supposed to be dead.” Robert says “Quite right. I only have about 12 more hours to be dead and then I have to be King.”
Eleanor is going to extreme measures to get ahold of Jasper who is not responding to her texts. Finally Jasper comes to her room to talk to her. She tells him “I have been trying to find the right time to tell Liam about us.”
Jasper suddenly gets nervous and jumpy. He asks her “What should I do?” Eleanor tells him “Just be yourself. I really like you.” While they are talking Robert walks in. Jasper is extremely nervous. Eleanor breaks the news of their dating to Robert and tells him “He is the man who found our father’s murderer.” Robert seems very impressed. He says “Let me shake the hand of the man who found my father’s murderer.”
Later Eleanor and Jasper are alone and Jasper is a bit unnerved by the encounter. He says “Shall we talk about that?” Eleanor seems a bit confused. She asks “What?” Jasper repeats Robert’s comment “I have really high standards for my sister.” Eleanor laughs and says “Robert loves me and just wants the best for me.”
Liam and Robert go to visit one of Robert’s old girlfriends. She is absolutely stunned to see him. He says “I’m sorry. I just wanted you to be one of the first ones to know that I was alive.” They don’t stay long. He tells her “It was good seeing you.” She returns the sentiment.
Later that night Liam meets up with his earlier hook up who also happens to be Robert’s ex and the two agree not to see each other anymore. This does not last long and they are spotted on the train. When Liam returns to the palace Cyrus greets him and tells him “Lurking around in the shadows are we? That won’t last long. After tomorrow you will be invisible.”
Robert is talking to Eleanor about their father. He tells her “He was hard on us, and he expected alot from us, but he had a right to because we are the Royals.” Eleanor begins to cry. Robert goes on to tell her “Dad would have been proud of us.”
The next day Victoria holds a press conference and announces that Liam and Eleanor were indeed proven to be her late husband’s children. Reporters begin firing questions at her and one reporter asks “Is Liam going to ascend the throne?” Victoria responds “I think it’s best that I hand it over to someone else.” There is alot of clamoring as Robert emerges from the shadows.
Robert gives a speech talking about what happened to him and how he lost control of his plane and was forced to eject from the plane. He then talked about how he began survival measures and was rescued by a fishing boat. When he is finished reporters begin firing questions at him. One reporter asks if he ever lost hope. Robert says “I felt sure that I would be back in the country I loved, with the family I loved and answering questions like this.” They also ask about King Cyrus. Victoria says “No. He knows his time is up.”
Cyrus however has no intention of going quietly. He says “I will fight for the throne. I’m back.” Liam is quietly happy to have his brother back.
