Unfortunately, Thomas Eichorst survived his little dance with fire. The human collaborators had apparently gotten to him in time to help and so it wasn’t long before Eichorst was back on his feet. But then the Master had sent him out on a mission. The Master had found out that someone had stolen the nuclear core from him and he wanted it back as fast as possible because he still needed it for some unknown reason. So Eichorst had been sent after the core however as he later found out he had truly been sent to stop Quinlan.

Quinlan and Fet have been trying to get their hands on a nuke for a while now and so they risk stealing from the Master just to get a complete nuke that they could use. However, that came with repercussions and one of them had been Eichorst. Eichorst wasn’t some mindless drone that didn’t know anything. He was chosen by the Master for his ruthless and that’s what he deployed to find to the guys’ former partners. There had been this other group that had worked with Quinlan and Fet and so they knew where the guys would be heading next after they parted ways.

Though Eichorst had only needed one of them to actually show him the way and therefore he killed his way through most of them, but decided that the one left standing after everything would do. So Eichorst was going after Fet and Quinlan the same time the two men were fighting. They were fighting about Charlotte of all things because Quinlan didn’t think Charlotte should go with them to the airfield. Quinlan said that Charlotte would slow them down and Fet argued with him about that because he said they wouldn’t have made it this far without her.

So Quinlan told Fet that there wasn’t anything wrong with Charlotte’s commitment because he was never questioning that. What he was questioning was Fet. Fet was in love with Charlotte and Quinlan knew that would get in their way if Fet ever had to make a choice between the mission or Charlotte. But Fet thought Quinlan was being overly dramatic. He thought that if he asked Charlotte if she wanted to go with them that she would demand it yet Charlotte as it turns out didn’t want to go.

Charlotte reminded Fet that he had been the one to say the next part was a suicide mission and so of course she didn’t want to go. She said that she would much prefer to stay on the ground and go up to her father’s old cabin in Montana where she could live off the land. Yet, Fet had no idea that she felt that way and so he had been even further surprised when Charlotte told him that she might as well stay behind now that it was out in the open. So she sort of broke up with very casually and Fet didn’t know how to react.

Fet couldn’t argue with her going because he didn’t want to let on that he cared, but it had annoyed him that she had been willing to end things for a while and had been holding it in. So Fet was just going to ask her a couple of questions about this cabin when they heard something come across the radio. It had been Ben who as it turns out was the lone survivor out of everyone that helped find the nuke and Ben has secretly turned on the radio to the same frequency as the others because he wanted to warn them about Eichorst.

Eichorst hadn’t known that the radio was on and so he talked to Ben about getting to the others at the airfield before they could take off. But hearing that had been enough to warn Fet and Quinlan. So the two had tried to find another airfield they could use and their new friend Roman helped out with that. He said that he knew someone called Dooley that would have an aircraft as well as a field they could take off from. And so they all traveled out there despite the risks because Roman believed he could talk Dooley around.

Dooley was something of a wild card and Roman had said that there was a chance that Dooley would turn them down even if they were willing to trade everything. Though the biggest sticking point in convincing Dooley to trade with them was probably Quinlan. Quinlan was strigoi and so Dooley didn’t want to help him or any of his human collaborators. So Quinlan had had to prove that he was one of the good guys before Dooley would even hear their offer and after that they had to say goodbye to Charlotte.

Charlotte wouldn’t change her mind about her father’s cabin and so she had tried to get Fet to come with her. Yet, Fet wouldn’t abandon the mission and so he said goodbye to Charlotte. Charlotte had been very important to him, but he knew that he had to kill the Master and so he left her behind which turned out to be a good thing. Charlotte for one had still been on the ground when Eichorst showed up and so she stopped him from bringing down the plane. And while Fet had used what Charlotte did to say Quilan had been wrong, Quinlan said that she would never have saved them if Fet hadn’t let her go.

But the guys and the nuke heading to New York now and they had hoped to finally get revenge for what happened when the Master took over however the Master was so busy playing mind games with Zach and getting him to kill the girl he liked that he had no idea that Eichorst had failed him until it was too late to fix it.

THE END!
