The Young and the Restless spoilers is looking ahead to the New Year. As 2017 smiles, which Genoa City residents stand to gain the most? This issue is highly subjective and is presented in no particular order because it involves soap.
Rumors have persisted that Sharon (Sharon Case) will be transformed after the calendar turns – could a pregnancy do it as Dylan departs. She’s about to have her life mixed up again, as her husband (Dylan, Steve Burton) will exit Genoa City in some sad fashion. The Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) reveal finally happened, which allowed Case to escape that storyline. And, apparently Walt Willey might soon be playing Sharon’s father. That would rightly deepen this classic character’s backstory.
Victor (Eric Braeden) has projected two moods during the Christmas season. One has been reflective, as he continues to grieve the loss of Adam (Justin Hartley). The other has been forward-looking. It seems possible that The Moustache is serious about moving into some type of semi-retirement. That storyline decision makes sense due to the actor’s and the character’s age factor. Plus, allowing Victor to have a non-Newman Enterprises adventure would likely be engaging for the fans.
Neil (Kristoff St. John) smartly moved past Hilary (Mishael Morgan) awhile ago. The recent appearance of Moses (Dax Randall) could indicate that paternal issues, in addition to Abbott-Winters Foundation duties, combine to set Neil’s new course. This long-time actor deserves solid storylines. Possibly, they’re on the horizon.
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) hasn’t been saying that she still feels Adam’s presence and believes he’s still alive, like she did the first time Adam apparently died. According to all information available, Y&R doesn’t plan to revive that character anytime soon. Mrs. Newman has an opportunity to grow Chelsea 2.0 and continue exploring ‘Chick’. Egan and Joshua Morrow (Nick) have good chemistry, so time will tell if they become a supercouple.
Bella (Cali May Kinder) doesn’t know who her dad is, but Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) does. The new year offers ‘Khloe’ an opportunity to reunite in marriage, thereby giving Bella at least a step dad in Kevin (Greg Rikaart). When her biological father is revealed during 2017 remains a mystery that’s sealed within Chloe’s head and will be decided by TPTB at Y&R!
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) recognized reality and said goodbye to Jack (Peter Bergman). She, like her ex-husband, has the chance to make a break from the past. While ‘Phack’ was generally electric, it also repeated patterns of destruction. Both people must embrace new outlooks moving forward.
Vickie (Amelia Heinle) and Billy (Jason Thompson) ran hot and cold when they were together. Now that Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) has grown up and come home, Vickie’s hands will be fuller. Might Billy actually assist his ex-wife with Reed’s issues? He surely has experience in trouble-making.
