The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) will struggle with heartbreak for a while. After Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) gentle rejection, Mariah will undoubtedly have a hard time moving on. The fact that Devon’s (Bryton James) still in love with Hilary (Mishael Morgan) won’t help the situation.
However, perhaps Mariah shouldn’t give up on Tessa just yet. Unless Y&R has decided to go in a different direction, they’re probably delaying the inevitable. We all know how soaps love to drag things out.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Mariah has some extremely dramatic scenes coming up. Camryn Grimes is going to deliver a powerful performance, so something big must be in the works. Will a shocker change Tessa’s mind? Here are a few ways Y&R could take this storyline.
Mariah’s life is at stake
There’s nothing like a life-or-death situation to spark a sudden turnaround. If Mariah’s life is at stake, Tessa may realize her bestie means more to her than she thought. It’s easy to imagine a scenario where Tessa professes her love to a hospitalized Mariah. Something along those lines might be a good option.
Tessa faces conflict with Noah
Thanks to Nick (Joshua Morrow), the expansion project could be in jeopardy. The lack of money could make Noah (Robert Adamson) frustrated and cranky. If debt piles up, he might lose plenty of his own wealth, too. Would Tessa still love Noah if he was bitter and broke? These two could grow apart pretty soon.
Mariah hits it off with another woman
So far, the only female Mariah’s interested in is Tessa. If that changes, Tessa’s feelings could change as well. Jealousy is a useful Young and the Restless tool. Maybe a dose of envy would convince Tessa to take action.
Secrets are exposed
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that there are some secrets Tessa still hasn’t revealed. We don’t know the exact nature of Zack (Ryan Ashton) and Tessa’s previous connection, so that could come into play. Plus, Noah isn’t in the loop on the kiss Mariah and Tessa “put in the vault.”
All soapy secrets should be exposed eventually! Will the truth drive Noah away from Tessa? Would that open the door for Tessa to admit she really wants to be with Mariah? Whatever the case, Y&R must have some intriguing twists in store.
