The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Abby (Melissa Ordway) will learn that she’s pregnant before Christmas. Recent scenes show that she and Zack (Ryan Ashton) shared their supposed love. Enough time passed since they were trapped to allow for the possibility that Abby and Scott (Daniel Hall) rearranged the boxes in Zack’s storage unit this week.
As viewers recall, Scott came to Abby’s rescue somewhere north of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Dina’s (Marla Adams) response to Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc) question about where she’d been during her escape indicates that Scott and Abby are in Roadside, which is the name of a storage facility business. The aftereffects of Madame Mergeron’s stroke and her Alzheimer’s didn’t allow her to realize that she was hiding in Zack’s car, while Abby was being held hostage.
Past month’s scripts have consistently pushed Abby’s conflict chemistry with Scott. Hall’s character was initially annoyed by his Newman Enterprises counterpart, but has been serving as her confidant this fall. With that spark established, the next logical step appears to have been taken in the formation of this future couple.
Zack took off after locking locking Abby and Scott in his storage unit. Savvy soap fans believed correctly that he’s be written back into the storyline in order to create a fitting climax to this sex ring arc.
Scott oddly didn’t try to overpower Zack, which was an unusual plot point. Mr. Stinnett wasn’t armed when he shoved Scott aside, slammed the storage unit’s door shut and locked Scabby inside. Zack didn’t anticipate that night’s developments, or Scott having followed him and Abby to that remote destination.
Abby and Zack recently shared their supposed love at the Tack House. That came the day after Zack broke up with Abby via voice mail. Abby and Scott co-mingling in the storage unit would make sense, as it would set up a paternity question.
Ashton’s time as Zack almost certainly will end soon. That leaves Abby alone. However, Ordway is pregnant in real life. She’s set to deliver when the calendar turns. So Y&R fans know that element is also being considered as this engaging tale develops.
The pairing of Abby and Scott would also mean that Shott would be ditched. Sharon (Sharon Case) and Scott were manufactured after Patient 6, wink, uh Dylan (Steve Burton) felt compelled to leave GC following the Miami Vice sting.
Burton’s departure enabled Y&R’s since-departed head writer Sally Sussman to plug Hall in. He and Case have subsequently performed well together and exhibit potential for the future. So the seeming switch to Scabby would be a risk for executive producer and now head writer Mal Young to take.
