The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Mariah (Camryn Grimes) is set to have a big year in 2018. She took herself out of Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) orbit for a while, but she’s still been getting some good airtime in Sharon’s (Sharon Case) story. What’s next for Mariah once Scott’s (Daniel Hall) secret blows up? Y&R’s head writer, Mal Young, has the answer.
Since Mariah and Tessa’s potential romance has fizzled for now, fans of the pairing have been tweeting Young about what they want. He recently decided to respond to some of the requests for this couple. Young replied with “more to come” and “far from over” when asked about “Teriah” – or “Messa” depending on who you ask.
There’s been some Young and the Restless buzz out there about this being a dropped storyline, but Young seems to have something cooking. Whether they begin a full-fledged relationship or not, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mal Young undoubtedly tends to follow up on Mariah and Tessa’s tension. They used to be close friends, so there’s no way Y&R will leave in such an awkward place.
Of course, Young could have a real romance in mind. It would be a bad idea to tweet fans with false hope. There’s no point in stirring up that kind of trouble. Nothing much is happening between Noah (Robert Adamson) and Tessa at the moment. It’s hard to buy them as some great love story. Perhaps some conflict will push Tessa in Mariah’s direction soon enough.
Mariah puts Abby (Melissa Ordway) on notice in Thursday’s Y&R episode, December 21. She brings up Abby’s history of being the other woman and hints that Scott (Daniel Hall) should be off-limits. That leads Abby to make a threat of her own. She suggests that Mariah will make an enemy out of her if she keeps this up.
The pot’s sort of calling the kettle black right now. After all, Mariah kissed her own brother’s girlfriend! Noah still needs to find out about that San Francisco smooch. If Mariah eventually snitches on Abby and Scott, maybe Abby will learn Mariah’s secret and seek revenge. She could spread the word about Mariah trying to steal Noah’s love interest.
That could actually be a blessing in disguise for Mariah. If Noah turns against Tessa, it could leave Tessa single and ready for Mariah’s love. Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that major drama’s looming. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
