The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Michael Muhney, who portrayed Y&R’s Adam Newman from 2009 until 2014, has announced on his Twitter account that he is indeed returning as Adam Newman in 2017, although no exact date has been set for this to happen. This follows on the heels of Eric Braeden hinting that Adam Newman was alive and returning.
When Y&R fans asked their favorite actor if his return would happen before the end of 2017, he said that he hopes and it was pretty likely. How do you feel about Michael Muhney returning to Genoa City and once again playing our loved but clearly misunderstood, Adam and what does this mean for his wife, Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and her newfound relationship with his half-brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)?
The last time we saw The Young and the Restless’ Adam Newman (then-Justin Hartley) on screen, he was tied up in a cabin after Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) abducted him. The cabin exploded just as his wife and brother arrived and every presumed the worst, with Chelsea once again thinking she is a widow.
Viewers have bee asking for his return for a long time, and will the magical return of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) back in LA on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful; it isn’t out of the realm of possibilities that Adam could return to Y&R’s Genoa City with his old face.
