The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will likely judge Nick (Joshua Morrow) for his seemingly idiotic move. Nick was lighting a jack-o’-lantern and letting matches burn for no reason. The Underground was empty on what could’ve been a busy Halloween night, so the whole thing makes Nick look pretty dumb.
Of course, Dina (Marla Adams) is actually responsible for the fire. She should be revealed as the true culprit eventually, but Nick may face some backlash in the meantime. This could make Nick and Victor’s conflict even worse. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will be busy with the sex ring scandal soon, but he certainly won’t forget about his feud with Nick.
It seems like there’s always something to keep this battle in play. Even when Victor learns Nick wasn’t to blame, it probably won’t ease the tension much. Since this war is still heating up, a Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity reveal is still a great option.
The truth about Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) biological father finally came out, so Y&R might as well let the truth about Christian’s real dad come out, too. While they’re at it, they should expose Victor’s role in Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) faked death and getaway. The rest of Genoa City doesn’t necessarily have to know, but Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) deserves to hear the whole story.
After all, Nick and Chelsea will inevitably break up sooner or later. This is the easiest path to a split on The Young and the Restless. They have secrets just waiting to come out. This would also help Y&R’s new head writer, Mal Young, clear out some of the old stories to make way for his new material.
Meanwhile, the Newman family will be facing their potential downfall. Victor (Eric Braeden) will be determined to keep Newman Enterprises going strong, but it won’t be easy. He’ll struggle to make sure Newman stays ahead of fierce rivals like Jabot.
Victor can’t exactly count on his dimwitted children to back him up. Nick’s been playing with matches while Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) been poisoning herself with her own company’s face masks. Abby’s also been sharing a bed and doing business with a sex ring leader, so this brood is a real mess.
Victor hates Nick’s guts anyway and he’s still in the rebuilding process when it comes to his bond with Victoria. Abby is perhaps a bit too naïve to truly give Victor the help he needs. It sounds like there’s only one Newman that can save this family and keep their power streak going strong.
