The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for this week’s new episodes indicate that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) will grow closer. After a Valentine’s Day dinner and hectic night of working the bar at The Underground, Nick and Chelsea will give into their growing connection and share a kiss. Finally, this couple will realize they belong together and will allow their relationship to move forward.
Not only do they make a passionate pair but they are both dedicated parents who will raise Conner and Christian as the true blood brothers that they are. The widow and widower share the common experience of losing a spouse which will only deepen their bond. As their love grows wedding bells will ring for this couple sooner rather than later. In an obvious hint to the audience, recently Nick walked in on Chelsea modeling a wedding gown and veil.
With Victor’s (Eric Braeden) help Chelsea and Nick will complete the necessary paperwork to have Adam Newman (most recently played by This is Us star Justin Hartley) declared legally dead – clearing the way for their nuptials. However, in true soap opera fashion such a move will open the door for Adam’s return. CDL previously broke the news that Michael Muhney is actively working to reclaim the role of Adam. What better way for Adam to return to the Young and the Restless then to crash the wedding of his brother and wife?
How will Adam react to finding out that Nick and Chelsea have moved on together? While Adam begged Nick to promise to be a father to Conner when he thought he faced a long prison term that promise didn’t include taking on his role as Chelsea’s husband. While there are many storylines hanging unfinished due to Adam’s “death” his return to the show could mean heartache for many in Genoa City, most of all Nick and Chelsea.
