The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the CBS soap is headed down an interesting path. It’s easy to see that the Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity revelation is coming up. With all the clues Y&R’s been dropping, they’re obviously gearing up for it. The show just has to build the excitement first.
The truth about Christian’s father may lead to another intriguing Young and the Restless storyline. If they’re going to stir up all the baby drama, it seems likely that an Adam Newman recast is in the works. There would be no point to all this if Adam remained off canvas indefinitely.
Nothing will really change for Nick unless Adam comes back. He’ll be hurt that Chelsea (Melissa Ordway) and Victor (Eric Braeden) lied to him, but he’ll still be Christian’s legal father. Nick’s name is on the birth certificate and even ruthless Victor must know the boy belongs in his surviving son’s care. It’s clear that Nick’s the best option for Christian right now.
Still, the paternity revelation may be Victor’s final blow as their war heats up again. He might want Nick to have to live with the devastating news. Then again, the truth could come out accidentally if Victor and Nick make amends. Regardless, the fact that it’s coming out at all pretty much seals the deal on Adam’s return.
Once the big reveal is over, Nick will probably dump Chelsea for lying to him. He could rip into Chelsea and set out to make her pay. Nick’s more like his father than he’d like to admit. It’s easy to imagine Nick making Chelsea’s life miserable. That goes for Victor, too. Nick won’t let his dad off the hook for blowing his life apart.
Could this mess be what brings Adam out of hiding? Maybe Adam’s been keeping tabs on Nick and Chelsea from afar. He might’ve stayed away if he viewed Nick as the more stable option. Adam could’ve believed a future with Nick was the best gift he could give Chelsea.
After Nick devastates Chelsea instead, will Adam return to reclaim his family and seek revenge? With Victor’s help, Adam could certainly settle the score. Chelsea might be upset with Adam for keeping her in the dark, but Y&R fans know she’d forgive him sooner or later. She always does!
