The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Philly and Chick went wild during their weekend trip to New Orleans. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), Billy (Jason Thompson), Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) opted to go on a spur of the moment Thanksgiving weekend excursion to The Big Easy.
As this is soapy journalism, we will directly address rumors and fact. It should also be noted up front that this scribe claims to not have been in Louisiana during said weekend getaway. He insists that he definitely was not a freelancer on a paid assignment for GC Buzz, or at least that’s what Hilary (Mishael Morgan) has told him to write within this space in order to keep his cover cloaked.
Would it be untoward to suggest that after a few helpings of Jambalaya this foursome rode hard through Bourbon Street? Yes, so let’s dig deeper because we must.
Billy is a party master. He would never go to New Orleans (add the accentuation to that location’s pronunciation per one’s preference) without frequenting one of the most amoral spots within the Contiguous United States. So, the other three characters followed his lead.
As fans know, Philly recently split before getting back together on Thanksgiving day. Phyllis was angered that Billy betrayed her trust by using the Jabot-issued laptop to obtain company secrets. He was also continuing to act like Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) lap dog at the time.
The Ice Princess has since fired Billy and slapped his face. Thus his move next to Phyllis took place.
Chick was fighting for a bit as well, but made up rather easily. Chelsea’s criminal past was recently outed on the Hilary Hour (there’s the plug she suggested this scribe insert), which shocked Nick. He publicly bad-mouthed Chelsea a few times, but quickly realized that he’d made a mistake, apologized and restored their relationship.
However, alcohol has often led to regretful behavior. So, could it be possible that Philly and Chick drank way too much and cavorted with the opposite person’s mate?
Then again, maybe Philly and Chick had a double-wedding ceremony performed by a cheesy Big Easy Justice of the Peace while all were under the influence? Possibly, they all saw Adam Newman (played by Michael Muhney) entering a jazz club where he’s working as a waiter while he works though amnesia? Maybe none of the above took place, or something else occurred?
