The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Juliet (Laur Allen) has been telling the truth all along. Despite all that viewers suspected, she wasn’t trying to scam Cane (Daniel Goddard) at any point along the way. What happened in Tokyo and since makes Mr. Ashby look like the biggest lout in all of Genoa City.
It’s hard to be worse than Victor (Eric Braeden). Cane didn’t bribe a doctor to sign a mentally unstable woman (Chloe, Elizabeth Hendrickson) out of a mental hospital so she could help him frame Adam (Justin Hartley) for a faux murder. But Cane did lie to his wife about spending the night with Juliet and then lied to his boss about what happened.
It was reasonable for Y&R fans to think that Juliet was some type of con artist. It appeared as though she allowed Cane to drink too much after the Sato (Richard Narita) deal was cinched. Then, it looked like she took advantage of Cane in his hotel room.
Later, after Juliet told Cane what really happened in Japan, it appeared as though she used the situation referenced to pressure him into helping her get a job at Brash and Sassy. After Juliet was fired, it seemed like she was seeking vengeance by putting Cane’s head on the public chopping block.
Leslie’s (Angell Conwell) fortuitous hotel security footage acquisition seemed awfully suspicious and too perfectly timed. And then Juliet’s testimony about when she and Cane stopped downing sake bombs strangely mismatched the digital video’s time stamp by four-plus hours.
Even Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) thought that Juliet was faking it when she collapsed at the GC Athletic Club, conveniently in front of his and Lily’s (Christel Khalil) eyes. Jordan also asked fellow former con Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) for her take on this entire situation as well.
But Juliet’s pregnancy results couldn’t possibly have been concocted. She wouldn’t be working with some technician at GC Memorial Hospital, that oddly doesn’t have Newman Enterprises’ corporate name attached to its moniker. No, there is no chance that Juliet has been improvising along the way in one of Y&R’s deeper storyline scams.
But if that is the case then the title to this feature may have been written by Miss Helton as part of a diabolical propaganda campaign.
