The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) fall will prove to be doubly epic. He’ll lose his marriage and his career, likely on the same day. The ill-fated Happy Hour celebration and that intentionally malicious California commercial debacle will serve to smack both sides of Mr. Ashby’s face.
In the first instance, Cane wasn’t trying to do anything wrong. He simply drank too many sake bombs after Juliet (Laur Allen) helped him save the Asian region business deal with Mr. Sato (Richard Narita). That led to a shared night in Cane’s hotel room.
Juliet apparently didn’t intend for that connection to happen. Her later mention of what happened proved to be a major surprise. Juliet said that what happened didn’t mean anything and that they should let it go. But she was put off by the fact that Cane seemed not to remember anything.
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) recently overheard Cane and Juliet talking at Brash and Sassy. She later texted Juliet and asked her to talk at GC Buzz. Unbeknownst to her, Hilary then recorded their conversation.
There’s no chance that ever-vengeful Hilary will let this stunning revelation remain buried. After confirming that Lily (Christel Khalil) never watched Juliet’s video confession since Cane destroyed the flash drive, Hilary will still make sure to somehow use this devastating information to damage Lane.
Meanwhile, viewers haven’t forgotten that a videographer shook down Cane. Instead of telling someone what he was asked him to do, that creep capitalized on the chance to make extra money in return for his silence. All blackmailers are amoral. So the idea that he’ll remain silent indefinitely seems remote.
Billy (Jason Thompson) doesn’t know that Cane sabotaged his Professional Hockey League commercial shoot. But who will be the prime character to learn that Cane had a co-conspirator? Billy, Juliet, Hilary or another?
It would be cliche to say that Cane’s skating on thin ice, as far as the sustainability of his career at Brash and Sassy is concerned. Instead, Y&R fans should take heart in believing that Cane’s actions in the workplace, similar to the cover-up he’s attempting in his personal life will prove to be his undoing.
Cane lives in Genoa City, not in the real world. That means he’ll loose his wife, healthy relationships with his SORAS’d children and the job at the company he recently failed to purchase in a timed fashion. Despite the plotted pace, it is true that this once likeable character deserves to face both consequences. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
