The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) will try to figure out what their future looks like. Cane will probably accept Lily’s advice and try to do what’s best for his child. He needs to accept responsibility for his drunken mistake. Juliet (Laur Allen) seemed to take the lead in Tokyo, but that doesn’t excuse Cane’s part in all this.
Cane will have a tough time dealing with the fallout of the paternity results. The news that Juliet is carrying his baby will continue to make waves. Of course, there’s a good chance Juliet is lying. She’s given us no reason to trust her over the last few months. Juliet could easily be manipulating Cane to get what she wants.
For some strange reason, Juliet appears to have feelings for Cane. That doesn’t make much sense under the circumstances. You don’t typically sue your crush for sexual harassment. Besides, Cane has pretty much sparred with Juliet ever since the Tokyo fiasco.
Nevertheless, Juliet’s pregnancy may have shifted her opinion. She might believe she can win Cane over and build a happy family with him. Does Juliet want Cane to dump Lily and move on? Could she seek Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) help with that task? Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Cane won’t walk away from his relationship without a fight.
Cane may suspect that something’s up eventually. Y&R may plan on revealing the true paternity down the road. Even if this really is Cane’s kid, that doesn’t mean Juliet will have him or her. A shocking accident could lead to the loss of this baby. When a pairing has no long-term potential, a devastating miscarriage is usually the way to go.
Whatever happens, you can bet that Cane will be in the doghouse for a while. Lily is slowly drifting toward Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), so he may influence how she feels about her husband. If Juliet tries to pull Cane further into her web, Lily may get fed up and contemplate a divorce.
There’s still hope for Lily and Cane’s marriage, but it’s going to take time and hard work to sort through the drama. We’ll give you updates as other Young and the Restless details emerge.
