The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will be arrested on the suspicion that she murdered Adam Newman (Justin Hartley). If included in this major climax to a stretched arc, a paternity reveal would also confirm who Bella’s (Cali May Kinder) father really is. And yes, both factors will crush poor Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) soul.
The unresolved issue of Adam’s apparent death has enraged hardcore Y&R fans since September, 2016. With whatever their feelings were for Hendrickson’s character prior to her darting Adam, emotions were inflamed after Chloe rendered him unconscious and then seemed to blow up the cabin where he was hiding from the authorities. “How dare she play God in Chadam’s life!”, screamed passionate fans.
Nick has recently been playing Sherlock in Genoa City. We’re not sure how Benedict Cumberbatch feels about that. But this Y&R tale doesn’t touch ‘The Final Problem’, which is, of course, BBC’s most recent episode in that outstanding update to the classic franchise.
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, brilliant originator of the epic Sherlock Holmes stories that first appeared (A Study in Scarlet) in 1887, stands as one father of the serialized format that modern soaps of all forms continue to embody. How Doyle might resolve this Genoa City mystery is a point to ponder. Meanwhile, co-executive producer and head writer Sally Sussman is presenting, along with her team, a compelling lead-in to the coming mega-climax.
Piecing together the location of Chloe’s cell phone calls on the night of Adam’s seeming demise with odd physical evidence, which includes a dart gun and a metal wrench, fuels Nick’s belief that his brother was murdered. When said items force an arrest on the suspicion of murder, Chloe will be caught in a precarious position.
No body means a likely harder case to prove. However, during the intermittent time government enforcers will swoop in on Bella. Kevin previously tried to prove his genetic link to Chloe’s second-born daughter, but was denied. So, unless Esther (Kate Linder) is able to secure temporary rights as the girl’s grandmother, or Kevin’s adoption plans have already been finalized, Social Services could put Bella in foster care.
Regardless of however criminal charges proceed, Chloe won’t risk having Delia the Sequel slip into the system’s cracks. At that point she’ll feel forced to reveal that Billy (Jason Thompson) is Bella’s biological father. Of course Chloe’s decision to use an unauthorized sample of his DNA nearly three years ago will then be exposed as well. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
