The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, January 13, tease that Hilary (Mishael Morgan) will do whatever she can to keep Devon (Bryton James) in the dark. His memory loss certainly works in her favor. When Stitch (Sean Carrigan) agrees to release Devon, Abby (Melissa Ordway) won’t get why he’s going home with Hilary.
Devon will suggest there’s no reason why he wouldn’t go with his wife. Hilary will tell Devon that Abby must be worried she can’t handle it. She’ll promise that she’ll take good care of him. Lily (Christel Khalil) will speak with Abby privately. She’ll give her the news that Devon can’t recall the night of the crash.
Stitch will warn them both to stick to the plan. Devon doesn’t need any added stress right now. Lily will wonder if Devon will ever recover his memory, but Stitch won’t know the answer. He’ll just point out that it’s sure to be a traumatic experience if Devon indeed remembers.
Hilary will get Devon settled in at home and he’ll be amazed by his brush with death. Of course, Hilary won’t want to talk about the past. She’ll think they should move forward and take the second chance they’ve been given. After he drifts off to sleep, Devon will suffer through a vivid nightmare of the crash. He’ll wake up on impact.
Meanwhile, Jack (Peter Bergman) will face some nosy reporters. They’ll suspect that alcohol was a factor in the accident and they’ll wonder why the foundation was even serving it at the gala. Jack won’t offer a comment, but he’ll immediately track down Neil (Kristoff St. John). He’ll believe they need to issue a statement ASAP.
Neil will state that Devon’s blood tested under the legal limit. Speed was the real cause of the crash, but that was due to how upset Devon was. Neil won’t think Devon should hear the story in the media. He’ll hope that Hilary will come clean and get herself kicked to the curb.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will urge Billy (Jason Thompson) to stop trying to be a father to Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu). At Brash and Sassy, Billy will argue that he’s just trying to be a buddy. Victoria will note that he needs to be an adult and help her with surveillance.
Billy will feel like Victoria is implying that he’s immature. He’ll wonder if she disapproves of his parenting skills. Y&R spoilers indicate that Victoria will chill out a little. She’ll admit that Billy is a great dad, but she’ll warn he can’t fill that role for Reed.
Later, Reed will arrive at the office looking for Billy. He’ll ask for help with an essay, but Victoria will offer herself as an alternative. Reed will think he could use Billy’s advice in particular. Jill (Jess Walton) will take over the extra work so Billy can pitch in.
While Victoria gripes at Jill for meddling, Reed will confide in Billy. He’ll ask Billy to keep Victoria out of the loop on this. The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Reed will show Billy some condoms he bought. Billy will be hesitant to offer guidance, but Reed will insist that he already had the sex talk. He’ll just want a few pointers on how this should go in real life.
After they wrap up their chat, Victoria will apologize to Billy for flipping out. She’ll thank Billy for providing homework help. It sounds like secrets could get Billy in trouble.
