The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Dina (Marla Adams) is being taken advantage of by Billy (Jason Thompson) right now. However, as soon as light shines upon his cowardly plot Dina will masterfully help to even the score.
Billy is devious, but he’s also foolhardy. Often full of himself, like his brother Jack (Peter Bergman), the junior Abbott brother also goes too far and is often smacked back. Dina’s current naive approach can be turned around. She’ll play the elderly lady game to perfection. Billy won’t see that masked move coming because Dina’s acting abilities will be wisely shaded.
Dina doesn’t like Jill (Jess Walton), who’s Billy’s mother, and has already slotted Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) in the same personality category. Considering that Thompson’s character is the son of the first lady in question and the boyfriend of the second woman, he’s linked to doubly bad company.
Jack offered his mother a job at Jabot for more than one reason. Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) instinct allowed her to conclude that Dina was depressed due to having sold Mergeron Enterprises. Jack agreed and felt her inclusion in the family business would help all parties. Plus he and Ash could keep a better eye on mom.
Viewers know that Dina’s mental capacity is reduced, as Graham (Max Shippee) has been covering for his mentor long before they arrived in Genoa City. It appears as though Dina sold her conglomerate because of her fading state, rather than due to Graham’s pressure tactics.
However, this suspicion has yet to be fully confirmed and could be wrong. Graham’s true intentions aren’t yet known, but should be revealed over time.
Billy’s totally gutless act of stealing Dina’s password was followed by leaving Phyllis in the shower so he could use her Jabot laptop. He was then able to bypass the firewall Ravi (Abhi Sinha) established, which blocked outside access.
Phyllis’ faith in Billy will be significantly tested as a result. While she loved Jack, Phack is over. Her belief that Billy is her future has remained in doubt due to Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) continued influence. There’s no telling what will happen to Philly once Phyllis realizes that Billy accepted Vickie’s suggestion to raid her laptop.
Jack lost his wife to Billy. He won’t allow his little brother to do damage to Jabot and isn’t above turning Billy into the authorities for corporate espionage. Dina will fully back her son. She’ll work to turn her fury over Billy’s ploy around.
