The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and recap for Thursday, January 12, tease that Dylan (Steve Burton) will find himself in a tricky situation. After Alex (Jess Webb) kisses Dylan, he’ll hurl her on the bed. Alex will pull out her cocaine so they can heat up this party. Dylan will gripe about her efforts to stall. He’ll insist that he wants to see Fisk right away.
Alex will mention that she has a boss to protect. She’ll locate a bug on the bottom of a lamp, but Dylan will act like he’s glad they dodged a bullet. He’ll look around and pretend to find another listening device. Dylan will suggest that his boss is concerned as well.
Once Dylan shows Alex the cash for this deal, she’ll agree to arrange a meeting. Fisk will provide the time and place, so Dylan will just have to trust Alex. Meanwhile, Kevin (Greg Rikaart) will wonder if Dylan could be in serious trouble. He’ll tell Christine (Laralee Bell) and Paul (Doug Davidson) that Dylan hasn’t checked in.
Christine will feel like Dylan is just being smart about it. He may not be able to contact them at the moment. Paul will still be nervous. He’ll blame himself if Dylan ends up getting hurt or killed. Elsewhere, Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) will be glad that the tension is lifting between Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case). They’ll all have a chat about Faith’s interest in chess.
Later, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick will ask Sharon for the scoop on Dylan’s mission. She’ll confess that Dylan could be in extreme danger. When Nick sees how frightened Sharon is, he’ll pull her close. Nick will promise Sharon that Dylan will make it back to her soon enough.
At The Underground, Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) will meet with the potential investor. He’ll mention his customer service concerns and demand controlling interest in the company. Lauren will turn down the offer and the investor will head out. Phyllis will wonder if it was a mistake to dismiss Jack’s (Peter Bergman) proposal.
Lauren won’t want to open Fenmore’s up to a takeover. She’ll suspect that Jack would do just that. Phyllis will mull everything over and suggest another solution. She’ll call Ravi (Abhi Sinha), but she’ll get his voicemail. Phyllis will ask Ravi to call her back so she can fill him in on an idea.
At the athletic club, Y&R spoilers say Jack will join Gloria (Judith Chapman) and Michael (Christian LeBlanc). He’ll ask about the hunt for an investor, but Michael will assure Jack that the right person will come along. When Michael walks away, Gloria will admit that she sabotaged Lauren’s latest deal. Gloria will warn that Jack had better come through for her when all of this is over.
It sounds like Gloria means business, but she should be wary. Jack should stay on guard, too. Either one of them could pull off a scam.
