The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Hilary and Devon Remarry in New Year – Hevon, The Sequel

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Hevon fans will have plenty to cheer about in the new year. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) will move closer together and then agree to remarry.

The first run edition of Hevon was like the Hilary Hour. A lot of snark, heavy drama, reputations were ruined and no trust was earned. Eventually both halves opted to end their marriage, though they each admitted to still loving each other.

Post-Hevon hasn’t worked out well romantically for either party. Hilary and Devon’s current single status telegraphs future developments with this couple.

Hilary crushed hard on Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood), even telling Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) at one point that he was the one she (Hilary) wanted. Well, Hordan or Jilary (though a true moniker was never applied to this duo) flopped badly.

Jordan’s scammer past was eventually discovered by Hilary though ill-gotten gains. A nod was offered to Gomer Pyle, played by the late, great Jim Nabors, with the phrase that ended the last sentence.

Hilary smeared Jordan on GC Buzz’ live stream. Those two attacked each other until Mr. Wilde recently left town. Meanwhile, Devon and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) developed their friendship into a pleasant relationship. Mevon didn’t last because Mariah’s feelings shifted to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).

Devon began defending Hilary during Jordan’s waning days in Genoa City. That show of protection, along with Hilary’s slowly developing personal evolution has given Hevon the Sequel a green-light. For those who don’t know, that’s Hollywood speak, meaning that a project has been approved of and can move forward.

Anti-Hevon forces are justified in thinking that Devon could be hurt again. They’re wondering why, after getting away from the person who some consider to be a she-wolf, he would seek Round 2? That contingent is arguing logic, while Devon believes in the redemptive power of love. Yes, it’s possible that a more mature Hilary will actually be a better match for him this time around.

Those who knee-jerk emotionally and believe that there is another side to every story aren’t promoting a balanced view. Y&R fans are smart. So they know that Devon wasn’t the bad guy where Hevon was concerned. Hilary was the problem.

James’ character is a good soul who fell in love with his father’s wife. Hilary was never Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) soul mate, or vice versa. While Hevon jointly wronged Mr. Winters, their sustained feelings have fully confirmed that this pairing was right. Whether the second season of Hevon proves to be a success in 2018 is highly debatable.
